Batman SE DVD vs Batman Returns SE DVD

Hey folks, I've got a pretty limited budget and I was just wondering which in your opinion would be the better buy overall, Batman SE DVD or Batman Returns Special Edition DVD?

As in which one do you feel has the better special features and stuff? I am tipping more towards Batman Returns since I haven't seen it in ages and saw Batman 89 very recently but am still rather confused on which to chip in for since I really don't know what either DVD is like.

Any opinions are welcome!

Batman SE DVD no question...

The History of Batman Documentary - Chronicling the character through comics as well as media from 1939 up to 1993
THREE Shadows of the Bat documentaries as opposed to one
THREE Music Videos as opposed to one
The Complete Robin Story Board Sequence
Bob Kane on Set (which I take as B89's answer for the BR TV Special)

Both have a Tim Burton commentary (though that's not saying too terribly much)
Both just look and sound all around better than the original DVD releases
Both have fascinating "Beyond Batman" featurette's looking into certain aspects of the productions (production design, music, costumes, etc.)

It's more or less a question of which film do you prefer, and how big into special features are you?

Film? Get either (or better yet, get both, and if you're a true batman nut, get the boxed set with all four films, because the Schumacher films get their SE DVD dues as well)

Special Features, though...B89 has more to offer, though just a bit more. But more nonetheless.

I have the 89 SE and ive ordered the BR SE today, so i'll get back to you on this one.

you need to get them all. seriously. if you have a genuin love for the character and the movies, they all have great stuff to learn in them.

Id start with 89, it has the most out of all of them. The get Returns and so on.

I bought the entire anthology back in 2005. Personally I think if you're a big Batman fan you need the entire set. As for special features, it's hard to say but I'll have to go with Batman '89, because not only did it have great "making of" docs and commentary but it also contains a documentary on the history of Batman. And of'course the Prince music videos!

if you've seen B89 recently (they are killing it on AMC), then i would get the Returns SE dvd. but yeah, the B89 SE dvd has alot more to offer on the disc 2, but thats because its B89.

BATMAN has way more special features than BATMAN RETURNS. So I'd go with the first.

Don't decide between B89 and BR

Save your money up even more, then buy the Anthology Boxed Set.

Trust me, it's worth it

In the UK the anthology set isn't the SE DVD's, you got to buy them all separate which is a pain in the ass.
