Warner Home Video has released details on the 2014 line-up of titles in the acclaimed DC Universe Animated Original Movie line Friday night, July 19th, 2013, at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, with the new titles highlighting Batman. The new 2014 titles were announced during the world premiere of the new Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox animated feature. A co-production of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line adapts stories from DC Comics lore mixed with new content. At least three new titles are released a year since the line’s inception in 2007.

The upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie titles announced include Son of Batman, allegedly based on the “Batman and Son” story-arc from Batman, coming for Summer 2014. Then, Batman: Assault on Arkham will see release come Fall 2014, taking advantage of the high-profile “Arkham” brand.

PS. Que for the "more Batman?!?!?!" complaiments. :b

I'm going Nightwing and Batgirl are in at least one of these

Hell if they adapt all of Morrison's Batman I'll be a happy camper.

I read that Assault on Arkham would be based in Rocksteady's Arkham world. I don't know how they're going to pull that off with 2d animation? Maybe they'll go all out and do cgi on that one.

I'm happy with the three titles this year, it may just be more Batman, but we did just get the Flashpoint film which focuses on Flash.

And any chance we get to see Robin on film is great for me, Robin's my favorite character, I'm very happy about Batman and Son being adapted.

So this might be Damian Wayne's first DCAMovie?

Well I guess all movies won't be based on new 52 then.

If warner brothers was smart after a new one for justice league wat get Bruce greenwood back for batman and Son and Kevin conroy for Assault on Arkham.

Kevin has voiced batman In some of the arkham video games so that would be approate. As for Bruce after him voicing batman In Under the red hood this would be great project for him to return. He Is the best non COnroy voice for batman In DCU
films.

Bruce Greenwood is the only other voice actor that even compares to Conroy. He's still not as good as Conroy, but I'm a fan of his Batman voice.

If Batman and Son served as a semisequel to Under the Red Hood (which would make sense as both focus on Robin) Greenwood's voice would make sense. I'm interested in possibly hearing a new actor voice Batman though too.

As for Assault On Arkham, if its in the Arkham game continuity, Conroy HAS to return... but then again, he isn't voicing Batman in the Arkham Origins game, so I guess he doesn't "HAVE" to return. It's just that he's the absolute PERFECT portrayal of Batman (even though it's just a voice) The combination of Timm and Dini's Batman characterization and Kevin Conroy's voice makes that incarnation the absolute Batman.

HOLY ****! :wow:

I am so pumped for this that I might go crazy.

Talia is such a supreme witch in this story. I guess that's how the general audience in particular understands her character after TDKR even though Morrison picked up the groundwork laid by Rucka and ran with it during his run on the character.

A 'Batman, Incorporated' movie I could see happening later down the line.

I was hoping to hear a "Long Halloween animated film announcement, but this is very cool news nonetheless!!

YES...I hope they do RIP as well...and Batman Reborn...

I am extremely excited for this news. I would be absolutely fine with them doing the entire Morrison run. They would have a place of honor in my blu Ray shelf right next to Under the Red Hood.

Forget next to Under the Red Hood, it would have the place of pride as the best Batman film series.

Batman and Son will be very interesting to see adapted, I've read and like that story.

As I have no relation to the Arkham-verse, so the other film doesn't automatically intrigue or excite me at this point.

I'd love it if this led to more Morrison Batman movies over the next few years.

Yeah. I get that Talia was always a heavy-weight, but I always thought she was noble and wouldn't come after Bruce without a slight heads up about the pregnancy. I hated this storyline because it set up such predictable dreck.

Batman Inc. is somewhat implausible for me.

Keep giving us Damien stories. Although I enjoy Morrison's work, I'd steer clear from quite a bit of his Batman. A more streamlined version might be good over a couple of films but I'd prefer Damien to appear in other adaptations and not exclusively to Morrison stories.

I'll be interested to see them adapt Morrison's "Batman and Robin" onto a film so that non-comic book readers can see just how great (and better in some respects than Bruce) Dick Greyson was as Batman. Not to mention his fine chemistry with Wayne jr.

A more streamlined version might be good over a couple of films but I'd prefer Damien to appear in other adaptations and not exclusively to Morrison stories.
But Damien's story opened and ended (literally) within Morrison's mega narrative and never intended to be used by anyone else (a shame). How would he be in other stories?
