Batman: the Complete Animated Series deluxe boxset

dam it looks amazing.

they should have got it ready for Blu-Ray :(, but DVD is good.

nice find.

OMG!! that AND the IAL collectors edition box set look amazing!!!!

Well I already have the individual season box sets so I don't think this will be worth the green.

yea I know!
I've just had the entire series on my harddrive in avi's forever, now I have a (really)good reason to actually pick up a physical copy.

That looks awesome, definetly getting that.

Do we know if there is a Blu Ray release for the animated series as well?

Off topic I am looking forward to getting Nightmare Before Christmas on Blu Ray

theres no word so far, i would rule it coming out, considering they proably would have mentioned it, atleat in the works you know.

Yeah thats what I thought, maybe in a year or so they will release something but I guess I will have to wait for the time being :csad:

basically leaves us who want the Complete Boxset in Blu-Ray in an awkward position for a couple of months.

Aww crap, I just bought the regular 4 volumes this week!..

Oh well...I guess I'll have to double dip and sell-up like I used to do..

Yeah, I saw this and slapped my forhead. I JUST picked up all four volumes from Deep Discount during their 20% off sale!

Oh well, I will most likely pick this up if the price is reasonable. I can just give my other sets to my kids for their bedroom. And TAS definitely falls into the category of the type of animation that, at least to me, doesn't need to be given the Blu Ray treatment. It was never presented in widescreen, nor meant to be and even in watching my Justice League: The New Frontier in both HD and standard def, I don't see the need for normal cell animation to make the leap to hi def. CG stuff like Pixar, etc., yes. Batman TAS and other shows that were originally broadcast in only standard def, non-widescreen? No.

Good thing, i never got around to buying them :)

u guys should just sell ur sets now. unless u can spill the cash.

Awesome.

The fact that they're on a standard DVD set doesn't bother me...they're old so a digital transfer probably wouldn't make THAT big of a difference compared to the BRplayer (or PS3) just up converting them. Plus, it would be about 50 bucks more just because they were on BluRay disks.

I've bought all the seasons separately as well, but that packaging and those extra goodies alone are all well worthy of a double-dip.
