I have a 65" HDTV, and I can't stand to watch old piddley small screens anymore. The best high definition transfers put standard DVD to shame and that makes looking at standard definition painful too (even with upscaling). If you know anyone with the hardware, snag yourself (i.e. rent) a copy of 3:10 to Yuma, The Prestige, and Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix. The newly released Batman Begins kicks some pretty major ass, too. Those are just some of my favorite Blurays in regards to what the format has to offer (and I'm talking solely about image quality and sound here...and especially image). Fantastic high detailed picture and 3:10 even has a 7.1 soundtrack, as well as one of the finest looking high resolution transfers I've come across.
