Batman/The Spirits, anyone goign pick this up?

I was doing so good, I was clean for 2 years, and now I'm being dragged back in... It started with picking up the X-Men Age of Apocapylse trades, then Hulk Visionaries Peter David Vol. 2, then reading Infinite Crisis and 52...
And to seal the deal a trip to the comic store and me buying random things... I'm getting sucked into a hobby that'll drain you dry faster than a coke addiction But alas, I'm going stop by the comic shop tommorrow to pick up Donner/Johns Action comics run, but I noticed this prestige comic comnig out. It's got an all-star team behind it but at the same time it's only 48 pages and features so many people, will it be good?

Clean from buying comics I mean, when I stop picking up weekly I was averaging around something like 30-35 titles a month I also have the New X-Men Omnibus on order

It's a one shot story that introduces the Spirit to the DCU and then leads onto an ongoing next month.

And it's Darwyn Cooke, it's going to be fantastic.

Not sure if anyone else gets those little paper magazines that they give away for free at comic book shops at least they do in New Jersey. But anyway the last one of those had a whole article on this book. Looks really good.

The point of the book is to teach people about who The Spirit is for when the new on-going The Spirit book comes out. At least thats what I remember.

Durr its bugging me now does anyone know what those little paper newspapers are called or does anyone else even get those suckers?

My shop used to have 'em. I forget the name. Three letters, something like CBZ.

I went to the comic book store early just to pick this up before it sold out.
Its awesome. Batman and Spirit teaming up and fighting and whatnot. Its great and the art is incredible.

Batman fighting the Spirit's enemies and the Spirit fighting Batman's, like the Joker, and they even switch costumes. Really cool.

The art made me pick it up, that and its Batman and Spirit, I buy almost anything by Darwyn Cook.
Now I'm geared up for the ongoing Spirit comic by Darwyn Cooke.

What a gorgeous comic!
Except for the format, they should have released this in a prestige kinda thing.
