The last Batman film made a billion. There is no doubt Supes and Bats together will make that easily.

It's not Nolan's Batman, this is Snyder's Batman.

So it's making 2 billion. :o

if BvS has an opening week of $170m+ then a billion+ is sorted

I'm personally glad WB is releasing this in March. Even though the teaser didn't light my fire the way the Force Awakens trailer did, I keep re-watching it.

I think the sky's the limit for this movie. I don't think it'll open to Avengers numbers, but I think WB will be happy with anything above $150M on opening weekend.

$732 million world wide box office.
$280 million domestic box office

The film has nearly two months to itself before Captain America Civil War. Although March tends to be a slow month, the lack of direct competition and the historic nature of having two iconic heroes appear together in a live action film for the first time, will inevitably lure in movie goers. The film will once again split audiences, as there will be those that hate the even darker tone of this film, and those who are excited to see Batman and Superman team-up/fight. Despite the controversy, the film will do well enough to propel the rest of the DCCU.

Easy, you say? Like all the other movies who did it easily in the past? I'd say 120-130M would be easy. 200M OW would be INSANE, it's possible. But it's not easy.

This Batman & Superman in the same film, all bets are off, this is new territory for all, nothing after this is going to be the same ever again.... (not to be dramatic at all :woot:)

March is no longer a slow month. Studios see it as another month to slate their blockbusters in, hence why WB moved BVS up from a crowded May 2016.

And the $280 million domestic total is seriously lowballing it. Unless it has toxic word-of-mouth, it's going to open big and close above $300 million domestic. At least.

I must be the only person who didn't get anything out of the new SW traiker except for the end shot with Han and Chewy...

This trailer though...I thought it was masterfully done.

I liked the SW trailer, but the BvS trailer affected me in such an interesting way. It has a tone unlike anything I've seen before.

OK I saw the full trailer yeah its gonna make 2bil lol jk
But affleck looks amazing in the batsuit man this movies has no limits
Superman looks big as the hulk omfg my mind has officially been blown and they don't even give you much but the lil bit you do get those shots are awsome :hubba
Take my money wb :tmm:

True. March is a leggy month actually, most March releases end with a 3X or greater multiplier thanks to a free 2-3 week run always. The figure BvS should look at is 152.5M, that is the March OW record and should be the target to aim for.

$190m opening weekend, $1.3b overall

That's actually a pretty reasonable prediction. I approve

If the marketing and trailers underwhelm (not likely) i think it'll be a $160 million opening and $1 billion WW

If its on par then I predict $200 opening with $1.4 billion WW

If the trailers and marketing blow our minds (i.e. if we eventually see them fighting and it looks as glorious as we've dreamed) then I predict a $230 million opening and $1.9 billion WW

(all of these are assuming the movie doesn't suck. Even if its a 7/10 then I stick to my predictions. I hope its a 10/10 but i'll extatic if its a 9/10)

While I absolutely love the trailer and how this film is shaping up, it seems the general public isn't being so kind to it. So many complaints about why Batman should even fight Superman as well as the dark tone, this may not be a 1B lock that some are expecting based of the sheer premise of these two characters being in the same movie.

CB fanbase alone will take it to a billion, GA is a bonus...

If the movie is as dark and heavy toned as that trailer...even if it has 6 weeks to it self I don't see it making $350m domestic...just have to wait and see what the next trailer brings us.

That is by far the weirdest complaint ever. Batman should fight Superman because the script calls for it. If the script makes it make sense, then the audience will go along with it, it is like asking why Iron Man would fight Thor, and why Thor would try to straight up murder Cap in Avengers.

I don't think so. MOS was far from 1B along with CA:WS, Guradians etc.

It's Batman meeting Superman, Bruce meeting Clark... it's the beginning of the wider DC universe, if the GA don't grab hold of that, they can go and latch onto Marvel's everlasting conveyour belt of 'churn 'em out, maketh a mint' philosopy.

look when the GA walk into the theatres they'll be expecting one major thing: how awesome is the fight between superman and batman? and if it delivers (which i know it will) then that will leave the GA satisfied enough to make a good word of mouth.

That's because that was Force Awakens 2nd trailer, while this is the teaser trailer for BvS. Its more comparable to the first trailer of Force Awakens from late last year.

No way will this film stop at 280 mill domestic. It's opening will be more than half of that. It would have to be absolutely dreadful, that almost no one goes to see it beyond the first weekend.
