Don't erase anything. It'll make them look like cowards and effect the brand even more. Just move forward, weed things out, and try to be better is all they really can do at this point.

Exactly. You can find some writers to write their way out of this. It's not impossible. It's just finding the right place to begin.

Shareholders won't. They sold us the second coming with Snyder.

Well then, they're either going to make a decision between pissing movie goers off, or pissing shareholders off. Glad it's not me making that decision.

At this point I think shareholders should be first priority. It's their money Snyder is using anyway. The DCU is his vision. All of it.

Snyder will not be let go at this point. JL starts filming in a week. You can however bet they are reworking the script.

Hmmmm. I'm really not so sure about that anymore. I wouldn't be that surprised if we had a press release in the next couple of months citing Zack Snyder 'stepping back' from direction of Justice League Part 1, due to the 'enormous strain of such a large project'.

If he comes back I certainly hope they are working on more than the script. But it certainly seems late in the game to cut him off.

All depends. With the right director, storyline, and villain, a MoS sequel works fine. As far as the box office, I think you keep the budget low and concentrate more on character than spectacle. People will still want to see Superman, he is still an American icon, but you have to do him the right way.

The way they left Superman off at the end, it could absolutely be done. But I wouldn't throw him into JLA without doing a MoS sequel first. That's just me though. There are other ways to make it work going straight into JLA, but I think it comes off better storyline wise.

How do you do a Supes filn with a low budget? Am I missing something here but when did MOS tank? I thought it was profitable.

Plus shareholders are their boss and can sack them!

As long as Snyder is in the director's chair, you can count me out. It would be less of a waste for me to flush a twenty dollar bill down the toilet at this point.

I refuse to give money to his films.

No win situation, almost.

In this time of doom and gloom, you gotta hand it to Deadpool, dude's still bringing in almost a million everybody 2 months after release

Then what are we debating then? This is Hollywood. Money talks.

WB is too knee deep in this shared universe to scrap everything. Get Snyder out of it and have someone else take the reigns.

Superman is not for dark films. Batman is. Only Superman's appearance makes the movie worth watching. I was a huge fan of MoS but this film really disappointed me. That's aside from the fact that i don't like the idea of a battle between them, especially if Batman is winning.

They could have used another title and still see Batman and Superman fighting but not to the extent that one is considered beaten.

A sad ending for Superman fans. :(

I hope the first JL movie will not have Superboy Prime as the villain cos I know that a JL movie with Superboy Prime as the villain will be very successful.

Damn those critics giving it good scores.

And damn Fox for finally listening to what the fans want. And damn Fox for hiring a director who loves the character he's working with.

And, you know ... Damn everyone who worked on the film for making a good and entertaining movie. Fun's not allowed with CBMs now!

:whatever:

It's gonna be a bloodbath this summer. This movie may have single handedly lost the company 10 years and 10 billion dollars. It's that bad.
can you explain that? :woot:

you mean 10 years back or the next 10 years of DC movies that they wanted?

Yep. Move JL back but replace it with another potential franchise. And for gods sake get Bruce Timm in the damn office. How the hell they aren't using this resource is beyond me.

And keeping Snyder would be averting another disaster, I take it?

There's no easy answer here. As a fan of the film, I know what I want but I'm not in charge. This is out of my and the fans hands.

Snyder wont be on JL2 but at this late time he will be directing JL part 1. The only thing I see them doing is doing rewrites to make it lighter. If Cap Civil war makes a ton WB is gonna switch the direction of these films. There is money to be made but they seem not to be able to connect what they have in the right way.
I liked BvS but it had problems. Suoerman was just so dismal, no hope coming from him what so ever. Make no mistake these are iconic characters and they are on the minds of everybody. They can be done right and make box office gold.

The next ten. They hyped Snyder up as the golden goose and DC movies as his golden eggs.

I have no sympathy for them. They didn't learn a damn thing from Nolan's movies other than to make it dark and gritty. They left their most valuable properties in the hands of a man who was never right for the job, and all they did was put nothing but blind faith in a man whose career is littered with films with either mixed or poor responses.
