I havent heard the disney one about them paying for bad reviews. Thats funny.

I like how the article points out the flaws in that logic:

Plus, there have been several instances where Marvel and Warner Bros. competed with dueling superhero movies — like in 2008, with Iron Man and The Dark Knight, and in 2012, with The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises — and both movies received good reviews and performed well at the box office. Specifically, in 2012, The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises earned the top two domestic grosses of the year.
I'm seeing $50-$51 million estimates for the 3 day, that's pretty close to 70% drop.

I have no sympathy for them. They didn't learn a damn thing from Nolan's movies other than to make it dark and gritty. They left their most valuable properties in the hands of a man who was never right for the job, and all they did was put nothing but blind faith in a man whose career is littered with films with either mixed or poor responses.

Shareholders didn't make those decisions. They trust in the execs they vote in. Someone very high up is protecting Snyder. He's like that rich kid who never applies himself to anything because he has his parents money to play with.

It's gonna be a bloodbath this summer. This movie may have single handedly lost the company 10 years and 10 billion dollars. It's that bad.
I had no idea BvS' budget was that high! Eisenberg's wig? :woot:

Snyder or the higher-up?

You're basically saying Snyder has no talent and he didn't earn his position.

Do you think it's possible someone higher up is a Snyder fan boy?

Ugh. That sounds about right. He's a frat boy with the keys to his dad's Ferrari.

Marvel squeezed them and hammered WB to the point of desperation. And in their desperation they turned to a man they did not fully understand.

Snyder is. And whoever is keeping him employed is that rich parent who's kid is a delinquent but they keep supporting him hoping one day he'll improve.

Yep. Move JL back but replace it with another potential franchise. And for gods sake get Bruce Timm in the damn office. How the hell they aren't using this resource is beyond me.

Man this movie is good to go. They have locations and crews and and sets and just everything is ready to go.stopping production is gonna lose them millions. They wont. I dont know if they can stop, it seems lim6e they have to move ahead AT this late in the game.

100%. What's his box office history so far with WB? Can somebody list the movies budgets/box office? I'm on my phone hard to get it all

Lets also calm down, it may puck up on Sat snd Sun and pull in 70-80 mil. Yesh im optimistic

It could cost them hundreds of millions if they continue with Snyder.

How much money will WB lose if JL sucks, though?

Well plenty of forum members here seems to share the same view.

No I'm saying he's like a smart kid with lots of potential but no desire to really try because his parents keep buying him cars and paying his bills

SUCKER PUNCH and LEGENDS are the only out right busts he's had at WB. Both 300 films made money. WATCHMEN was basically even. MAN OF STEEL and BvS will be considered disappointing hits.

Can't speak for specifics. He reminds me of GDT in the sense that he has yet to have a bonafide box office hit. Like a true juggernaut.

But GDT at least has demonstrated a capacity to deliver phenomenal films. It's unfortunate that Hollywood has not been kind to him.

Why do they keep giving this guy money?

How do you do a Supes filn with a low budget? Am I missing something here but when did MOS tank? I thought it was profitable.

Make it a character film. Focus on Superman and Clark instead of special effects. I'm not thinking Deadpool's budget, but, you know, somewhere in the 120M range. Keep it as low as possible.

I don't see it that way. Snyder seems earnest and looks as if he works hard. It's just that his vision of the DCEU is not popular. He wants to create something that his talent can't accomplish.
