Under a billion is a safe bet.
Would there be anything in his contract preventing it?
Under a billion is a safe bet.
Where are you getting those numbers? It made 456 mil off a budget of 65 mil.
That's how you break down profit. Studios don't get 100% of BO returns
It still made 456mil. Even if it was 130. How in black baby jesus name did you git that profit number?
Remember that the cinema chains take a massive chunk of a movie's ticket sales. DotD did not make 456 mil for the company that produced it. That profit is shared out among multiple companies.
Looking at his numbers: You double the production budget to account for marketing. The studio takes half of the domestic gross, and a third of the international gross. That gets you $130 million spent and $195 million earned.
That $81M Friday opening day number tho...

Could you imagine the Box Office of this film if BvS had great word of mouth?
What? maybe you guys are looking at the wrong information because you're on the phone.
300's budget was 65 million. It made 456 million. You can triple the production budget and it still made a TON of money.
It earned 456 million....
Yeah, $211 million domestic and $245 million foreign. So $105.5 million goes to the studio from the domestic gross, and $81.7 million from the foreign gross. That's about $187 million earned. Now double the $65 million budget to account for marketing, and you have $130 million spent. So the movie made about $57 million.
Are you being deliberately obtuse? You haven't factored the marketing budget in, and the production company DONT GET 100% OF THE PROFIT.
I doubled the production budget. sooooo 130 right like BvS took 400 mil to make and needs 800 to break even.
So 300 needed 130 to break even. It made 456. 456 -130 = 326.
It made a profit of 326. Triple its production cost. I might be wrong. But how many movies do that? It's like your trying to say i'm crazy when i'm looking at the numbers. This ain't Shutter Island.

What are the predictions for tomorrow's numbers?
I can guarantee it will make $6 tomorrow because I'm going to see it.![]()
Ugh. A reported $15 million this Friday. Looks like it might not even break 60million this weekend.... I'm not even sure 900million is a safe bet...
