no weapons, no shield, no utility belt. so im guessin prep time is out of the question. well, considering theyre both trained in pretty much every combat style then it HAS to be captain america. simply because of the super soldier formula. the chances of bruce wayne being at his exact peak so as to match steve rogers' level is unlikely at best -- even with constant training. PLUS cap is used to not having gadgets. in fact this fight is very much in caps favour. cap, hands down.

A slight advantage in strength requires a large advantage in skill to offset. A large advantage in strength is all but impossible to overcome unless the stronger one is really incompetant. They're not. Captain America is the best in every area of the human body's skills. This is impossible. You cannot be peak strong and peak fast at the same time. Cap can, because of the Super Soldier serum. Batman has no such thing, and is thereby not capable of both being the strongest and the fastest a man can be. A jack of all trades, but a master in none.

theres no way I see batman coming out on top of this one and if you look in some of the maevel hand books caps strength is way past batmans but you need more then that to when a fight thats when the serum comes in and hes endurance he can fight for hours with out stopign batman can't. oh and if its ultimate cap I think he will just kill batman I think his strength is at like 2 tons and have you seen ultimates #11!

Someone posted elsewhere on these boards that Batman can bench press 725 pounds according to DC. Marvel says that Cap can military press 800 pounds. Since you can bench a lot more than you can military press I am allowing for a 1.75 -2 times conversion. (800)1.75=1400 So Cap can bench at the low end slightly less than twice what Bats can and at the high end about 1600 pounds which is somewhat over twice what Bats can do. The base stats are from the comic companys own statements on the matter.

ysee this annoys me. i KNOW that, i swear i sed i did. u cant guarantee that batman is at top physical strength. we're talking tiny differences here. he might have an ever so slightly off day or be tired out and he's at a disadvantage -- the super soldier serum guarantees cap is at peak tho. it has to be a factor.

That and the serum keeps him from building up lactic acid, so his body doesn't really tire out like Batman's. If Bat's had his utility belt, you know he has knockout gas, and could topple Cap like that. But if it were hand to hand, Cap would just have the fight.

And as for Cap training everyday, he has to, yes. But so does Batman. In fact, Batman has to train MORE since he isn't hyped up on the serum.

I gotta go with Cap. He survived world war 2, survived being frozen for a couple of decades so i think he could handle anything Bats dishes out in a fist fight. Plus he's the greatest tactition in the world. Bats just picks on clowns.

so... there's very little point of the serum. it just prevents the initial training being needed. i didnt think that. wow, that serum sure sucked.
