World's Finest, obviously.
It really is.
Man of Steel: The World's Finest
Assuming Batman's role is fairly limited. Knowing WB and all those involved he won't be so I would assume it'd be The World's Finest. Putting either Batman vs Superman or Batman & Superman together in the title would be far to long and jumbled and just lacking complete finesse.
If they go with World's Finest, they need to get the name out there so everyone knows what it is and refers to. Like some big marketing video where they explain Batman and Superman have teamed up in the comics for a long time, that it's not just some quick cash in to counter act The Avengers, and that together they are known as The World's Finest.
Still, I bet WB are thinking how many extra tickets they'd sell just by having the word 'Batman' in the films title, making me think maybe Batman vs Superman is a pretty viable option as well. Sure, it sounds kind of cheap thanks to all those awful Alien Vs Predator or Freddy Vs Jason films, but a film being called Batman Vs Superman would be enough to send the less cynical out there crazy with excitement. It tells you whose in the film and what's going to happen for at least some part. It's not as lazy and as clunky a title as it first appears.
Superman + Batman
Superman > Batman
Superman = Batman

There's an interesting article from last year on the importance of picking good titles. It is mostly about TV shows but is equally applicable for movies.
World's Finest is the best title that can be used.
But, I guarantee that WB didn't even consider it because of the "fear" that some idiot somewhere wouldn't understand that it'd got both Batman AND Superman.
Actually I can see WB lopping off the "Man of Steel" part and using that as the title, since it would front-load the Bat-cashcow into focus.
What about "The Dark Knight" and "Man of Steel"? WB doesn't have the mentality that "Superman" or "Batman" must be in the title for the GA to get it.
I genuinely hate World's Finest as a title, it's stupid. I don't care much for Batman vs Superman either but it's a crap load better than World's Finest. Thing is a Bats/Sups movie can be called anything.
Batman vs Superman is too much like some kind of title fight, and reminiscent of these other movies people have mentioned (Alien vs Predator, Freddy vs Jason) or even that terrible Antonio Banderas/ Lucy Liu movie Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever.
However, it does tell audiences most of what the film is about, whereas World's Finest might be too vague. They need to come up with something different to either of those two options.
The vs concept is utterly stupid. Movie goers want to see them team up, not fight each other
Just call if Man of Steel 2. You don't need to mention Batman in the title. You do that with the poster.
Yep. These are all basically better than Batman Vs Superman
But "Man of Steel" does not have Superman in the name.
So I did a bit of brainstorming and have come up with the idea of 'Justice Begins', alluding to the upcoming formation of the Justice League as well as the aftermath of MoS in that people may want Superman's head for the destruction caused, one of those being Batman. Thoughts?
The also made "Superman Returns". There is something to e said for short titles, although that was about the one good thing that SR had. It might not have been so cheesy as S:TM, but it had even less of a chance of going anywhere.
I think you are right that this will be Superman focused. The set up bringing in Batman with the Wayne satellite, but it still is a Superman story, with Superman cast. Although maybe that is why they replaced Jimmy with Jenny they said "hey, if we bring in Batman, who needs Jimmy Olsen." Plus now we have Jenny for Bruce Wayne to fall in love with.
I don't think it needs a title. They should just put up the logo:
That will explain it all.
I can get behind that.
I like the idea, and I can see the logic. It doesn't sound quite right to me, somehow, though.
Still need to print something on your ticket, put words on resumes etc.
I really hope its not call Batman Vs Superman, it sounds to much like Alien Vs Predator or Freddy Vs Jason. 'The World's Finest' sounds more mature and goes with WB trend of not naming the movie after the superheroes (ie: The Dark Knight and Man Of Steel).
TBH, as much as I hate Batman vs Superman as a title, at least if they go with that because THAT is how they are approaching the film, they won't be trying to pretend it's anything it's not.
It's all just a gimmick, and I can only imagine it'll be a poorly realised one as well.
