It's nowhere near as good as the graphic novel but I'd still take Watchmen over BvS any day.
I am one of the few who loves both Watchmen and BvS, so this is really tough for me. But I give the slight edge to Watchmen. Both are under appreciated though for me.
Both these movies are tone deaf but Watchmen I consider a greater wasted opportunity.
BvS by default.
Man I really love both Watchmen and the ultimate edition of BvS hmmm
Watchmen advances. Next Match
Battle of the Martin Sheen Films
The Amazing Spider-Man
I'm in the minority but I thought the first Amazing Spider-Man movie was pretty good. Even if I didn't, it would still win over Spawn.
Very underrated reboot. It isn't bad at all. Spidey's world is darker than Raimi's.
The Amazing Spider-Man.
The Amazing Spider-Man
I really don't like either movies, but I'll give this one to TASM as well. Spawn just hasn't aged well at all and I do remember liking it as a kid, but we deserve a much better big screen version of that character by now, especially after how awesome that animated HBO series was.
Decent enough reboot and far better than the overstuffed sequel. The best thing about both TASM films is the central relationship between Peter and Gwen.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
You know what's funny? If the Blumhouse movie does happen and Jaime Foxx sticks to the role, after its release we will get another Amazing Spider-Man vs Spawn match-up.
I knew that you hate Garfield in the role, but to vote for Spawn instead of abstaining is something I did not think would happen.
I like that show, but I'd rather read the comics of the first five years instead cause they are more entertaining.
I think Garfield is great at being Spider-Man but his Peter Parker is an acquired taste. He really shows how bad Toby's delivery is doing the ADR for the quips.
He's my least favorite in the role but I don't hate him. I like the Amazing Spider-Man film but simply overall enjoy Spawn more.
In general, I love Spawn and while I like Spidey, he's not among my top favorites. So I'm probably bias there
Garfield and Stone were easily the best things about those TASM movies, and I could definitely see the potential of Garfield in the role as well as Stone as Gwen Stacey. I didn't mind his version of Spider-Man, but I really wasn't a fan of his *****ey, hipster, skateboarder Peter Parker.
Both movies being way too overstuffed wasn't much of a positive either, because you could tell Sony was more focused on setting up a shared universe than actually making great Spider-Man movies again.
I actually really like TASM. I go with it
While I used to defend TASM like crazy since Toom Holland's superior version I no longer feel obligated to do so.
Spawn gets my vote. Despited being very dated it's somehow less cringey than TASM.
