Battlefield 3 - Part 2

See that's what I like to hear/see. That's pretty rare for someone to do. I don't know how many times iv seen someone jump in a transport heli just to take themselves over to a flag then bail out. Maybe they should give the pilot points for having people successfully exit the helo. It seems if people dont see little points pop up they don't care to do anything that helps.

lol yeah I love flying and since nobody wants to take transport helicopters a lot of the time I always hop in them. If nobody is gunning for me I just hover from flag to flag hahah. The only downside is I get sniped out of the pilot seat a lot. :/

I love flying, but I will admit that I SUCK at it. I'm not so bad with the helicopter but I suck with the plane. Don't get to practice much. I love being in the turret of a vehicle though. That's the best

Yeah, I love transporting troops. The only points you really get are respawn medals and the occasional assist if someone uses the chopper gun.

Is there a way to close your chute when it's open? Im guessing no

Man, now that I figured out the new Karkand plane (don't remember the name...F-32?) I'm a boss with it! Yesterday I was friggin unkillable in that beast. I went 15-1 and the only time I died was when I crashed it off the bat by accident. Once I figured out how the hover works, it's so freaking beastly to use.

I love locking into jets and then as they try to dodge your missiles, you switch to hover mode and just blast 'em with your machineguns.

I think if you press the button again it'll close. Though you gotta be falling from pretty high up for it to matter. :o

Hahah yeah I crashed a bunch trying to figure out how to hover. :woot: I hope some future DLC add Harrier jets now.

Once I waited like 2 minutes at spawn but nobody wanted to ride with me. So I flew to a flag, landed, switched to the gunner seat and cut down any people foolish enough to run at me until I got killed lol.

Thats the best. No driver, just you in the gunner seat mowing fools down. And what?! The new plane has hover? Thats sweet. I used to play this game when i had a ps3 called warhawk and your plane could hover. That was cool

I still don't know how to properly fly a helicopter :(

It's been a problem since helicopters were first introducted. A fairly obvious one that too this day, has never been addressed. When Team Fortress 2 went free2play Valve introduced a training system because they were well aware many people who never played or understood the game would try it out. With Battlefield 3 poised to sell around 8-10 million copies, adding a basic tutorial would be common sense. Sadly, with all the money, the hype, the huge man work, for reasons only god understands, was over-looked.

You can train with helicopters using the 2nd Co-op scenario.

Yea, but you have to have a buddy with patience if you do that. :p

lol or a buddy who needs to unlock co-op guns. That's about the closest Battlefield is prolly ever gonna get to a vehicle tutorial lol. But when you finally get the hang of it and you're breaking lock-ons by flying wicked fast behind buildings, low to the ground... feels good man.

Yeah, in like 30 mins that co-op level turned me into an awesome chopper pilot. I can pull off crazy stunts now. I still crash every now and then, but only after I've taken a crazy risk in order to pull off some kind of ambitious manoeuvre :P

lol pretty much. :D Sometimes I panic and hit a lamp post or something, then I can't recover and I have to send a message apologizing to my passenger hahah.

Had two great rounds. First one I got a 19 killstreak. Second time I got 18-0. Then there was just one thing to do. Quit.

helis...just take practice really, i ****e them out so much. i get at least 20 kills in them with missles only and if im gunner....game over 40+.....people with stingers....i laugh at them now, when i used to have fear. never knew how easy it was to avoid them.

I hate those wannabe pilots who take on a bunch of passengers, take off from the helipad, and promptly crash all of us.

Got back to karkand today. How do I get the new weapons?
