Live and learn. More free DLC's might help. They should've held off on it's release until after the 18th with all of the TFA content included. Instead, they released half a game.
'Battlefront' Developer Says Game "May Not Have the Depth" Gamers Wanted
The new video game Star Wars Battlefront has been met with mixed reviews at best, with many feeling that there just isn't enough content in the game. Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen, speaking at the Nasdaq Investor Conference in Europe, responded to the criticism of the new game saying,
"Star Wars Battlefront is a first-person shooter, but it is [one of] the only teen-rated first-person shooters. We had designed it to be a much more accessible product to a wide age group.
"So, an 8-year-old could play with his father on the couch, as well as a teenager or 20-year-old could play the game and enjoy it. It is more accessible. And for the hardcore, it may not have the depth that they wanted in the game."
I think it's a shame that the response to first game from the EA era of Star Wars gaming has been so mixed. It feels like they tried to walk a line between making the game for Star Wars fans who aren't gamers as well as for gamers. Unfortunately, it seems they weren't as successful as they could have been. Hopefully the next game that's coming from Visceral will be more successful.
