Yesterday was the final filming for 'Ed the Sock' and with Liana K. in the costume.
The costume is based on the new Batwoman design from Alex Ross.
Liana wanted something slick and sexy...we were given total creative freedom as long as we respected the overall look of the character. I wanted to make the suit so that it looked like it had more to it...armor sure, but making you look twice to see what exactly it had going on.
Here's some in progress pics of the costume..
The costume is cast in silicone with red flocking on the chest logo. The cowl is cast up in flexible urethane resin and was cast around her life cast so it was a good comfortable glove fit.
The only parts we didnt manufacture ourselves were the undersuit and boots.
I know I look like I got hit by a bus, but I was on almost 48 hours of no sleep and the episode finished filming last Monday at 2:00 AM....
This was a lot of fun and the crowd reaction was extremely cool. She really got into character and brought the whole thing together beautifully. The episode should air in late Spring.
We have more outfits to do together so watch for some new progress pics. I'll also post the lifecasting photos directly below...too many pics for one post.
