I did a search and surprisd that there was no thread for this. Anyone plannin on getting it? Reviews are coming in and its scoring great with all reviewers so far giving it at least a 9. I was suprised bc I thought this would score closer to a 7.5. It definetly looks promising

Definitely picking it up! Demo was great. The variety in her moves is great and it looks like the game has an interesting story.

I thought about starting a thread on this a couple of times, but there never seemed to be much interest whenever I talked it up in the Gaming Lounge. I have it pre-ordered from Amazon, been looking forward to it for quite awhile.

Why? Pretty much everything we've seen of it has been top notch and the demo was great

Silly trash? I didn't realize that not being into a title because of its style warranted a title others would reserve for rushed movie tie-ins and vaporware Wii titles

Well, Raiden, I will give you a heads up. If you aren't into the DMC titles (or games in that vein), you may want to just skip it. This is very much a spiritual successor to that title, and features all the over the topness and exagerrated style of them. Otherwise, If you are into those or don't mind playing them, you should have a blast

Still pretty much eye roll worthy since I know all the reasons you have for your classification of such. I don't even know why you'd bother playing the demo as it seemed you decided how you felt from the minute you saw the first video.

I don't know, it seemed to me that you had already aligned yourself against it when we talked about it in the lounge that one time. That, and you seemed to hate DMC just as much for all the same reasons. It's good that you gave it a shot, though. If you really think it's outright trash I guess that's your opinion

Just because I have a negative opinion of something doesn't mean I'm unwilling to be swayed. I wasn't so hot on Rainbow Six Vegas pre-release, but I gave it a fair chance and played the demo and found out that I actually liked the game.

Well, it's good to be opened minded in that sense. I'm not into traditional racing games (the only one I've ever been able to play was Burnout, but that's pretty nontraditional, I think), so I probably wouldn't even bother downloading a demo of a racing title since I'm so totally apathetic towards it. So, yeah, didn't mean to jump on you or anything, I'll respect your opinion and let it go.

I admit that I don't play much DMC or games similar to DMC, but I saw the trailers and it looks like a blast. And the demo is free so it doesn't hurt to give it a shot.

Heh, on the street.

Yeah, there was a side by side comparison between the two not too long ago of the Japanese retail releases and the PS3 version lagged behind technically. It looked a lot more blurry and muddy on the PS3. It's still the same game besides that, but it is a rather shuttering difference in that department.

I dont know. It really didnt look like much we havent seen before. To be honest, it looked liked an artistically stylized DMC. I really didnt expect much substance out of it. Looks however that I may be wrong and Im glad I am

I've played the demo and watched a good handful of videos, and the game is absolutely astonishing.

I'm buying, that much I know. I was highly impressed by the demo.

Personally, I like the DMC series more than the GOW series as far as gameplay is concern, and since Bayonetta is shaping up to be at least on that level, I'll gladly put it alongside God of War. If that makes me a 'fool' in your book then I guess that's just too bad.

God of War is one of the industries best franchises. Bayonetta is not, and will never be on that level. You can put it along side it if you want, but youd be wrong. Not to say you cant like Bayonetta tho, but its not worthy of being mentioned along side that franchise.
