Whether it was justified or not, whether you were having a really bad day and lashed out or the guy/girl behind the counter was an utter moron and you just couldn't take it anymore. Whatever the case may be, have you ever been a rude customer?

Yes...

When I get a phone call 3 times a week asking me the same questions and I have to explain it and they don't put it in their files I tend to get a bit edgy. I usually don't scream or yell at them though.

Not rude, but I've been very firm a few times.

I've been agressive and sometimes touchy but it was always with reason and I've never been flat out nasty or rude to someone. I just don't see a point in that.

Yes I have. I think just about everyone has at one point or another when something was bothering them.

Not to my knowledge, I've worked retail so I know how much is angers the employees.

I'm usually only rude when on the phone with a something like the cable or phone company, I tend to get really pissed off easily at those people. It usually adds with me calling them nasty names and hanging up.

In person, not so much, I let my mannerisms and body language tell someone if I'm pissed off.

I can never be rude. I'm too nice. Even if I tried to be rude, I come off as "cute" or "adorable".

i have, but only when its entirely justified. like when my boss told me to take the racist guy out who was beating on his wife out in the parking lot to kick his ass. or when drunkards claim they dont have to be out of the bar until 2:30 even though i just told them to get out, so i just drag them out by their neck.

You were a customer in these situations?

Some workers need to be pelted with rude commentary at times. A wake up call to not get complacent.

I'm from New York. I've been rude to everybody.

Not RUDE RUDE, but I've let people know when I was dissatisfied. But I never go to the low level guys--I always ask to speak to the Manager on duty. The way I see it, they are in charge, they are responsible.

No not particularly. Im a fairly patient person.

Some might consider this rude but I dunno:

I'm hungry for some Burger King and order a Whopper combo meal Medium size at the drive thru with my radio and AC turned off. The lady working the drive-thru tells me that they're out of Medium cups and if I would like a small. I say no thanks I'll take the Large. She then says so that's a small. I sit thinking what a dumbass so I put it in gear and with my tires burning rubber I pull out of Burger King's drive thru. I went to another place for lunch

i dont know about rude, but more impatient and not understanding. i've worked drive thru's, the audio quality on those things are not good. she probably just wasnt clear of your response and was trying to clarify it with you. in order for her to be as mistaken as you depicted her to be, she'd have to be down right brain dead ignorant. and i know fast food workers are stereotyped as stupid, but rarely is anyone is THAT stupid.

People on the phone are people too. I used to work in telephone customer service and it definitely is bothersome that people think that being on the phone gives you carte blanche to say whatever you want without hurting their feelings.

I've been tempted before, but I don't think I've actually been rude. If I have it was unintentional. I come off as much more rude on the Hype! than I do in real life. It's probably the internet-anonymity.

The audio quality isn't that bad where "lahrj" sounds like "smawl"

Telemarketers are the only ones people feel they can be rude to and not have it matter. I've done the job before and the fact that they are being micromanaged makes you understand why they have to act that way when they call.

Yeah I've defintely been rude to people. In phone or in person. Mostly with fast food places where you order something specific and they still screw it up, I get a little ticked off. Or on the phone when you start all calm asking a simple question and they just give you the run around I start to get a little belligerent then.

However, I'm not as bad as my brother whose gotten himself onto IKEA's problem customer list. Though if he's calling that much I can't figure out why he keeps buying stuff from there.

I can't figure out why people are buying from IKEA period. I considered being a cheapass and buying a platform bed from there because it was only 199 bucks, but I keep hearing reasons not to.
