Universal Pictures and Strike Entertainment will turn the comicbook "Beautiful Killer" into an action vehicle for Jessica Alba. The actress is currently following her run as TV's "Dark Angel" by starring in U-based drama "Honey."

Strike's Marc Abraham and Eric Newman are producing, and Alba and Chris Henze will exec produce the pic, based on the single "Beautiful Killer" issue published so far by Black Bull Comics. The focus is a young girl driven to seek vengeance after her parents are killed because of their involvement in the espionage game.

U execs Donna Langley and Amy Kane will supervise with Strike exec Josh Bratman. They are already out to writers in hopes they can be ready for the Endeavor-repped Alba's next open slot. The comic's title will be dropped, and the concept honed to be reminiscent of "La Femme Nikita." That will give Alba ample opportunity to use the physical skills honed in her TV work.

"This is very cool, dark material that at its core is about a girl who loses her family to mysterious killers, flees and ultimately chooses to exact revenge," said Alba. "The chance to shape a character and story from inception is a luxury for an actress. I had the opportunity to collaborate that way with James Cameron and Chic Eglee from the very beginning (on 'Dark Angel'), and it is an experience I hope to repeat."

I Have all the Black Bull "Beautiful Killer" comics and the writers said in the last issue that they had agreed to the movie with Jessica Alba as the beautiful killer!

If you google you will see there has been no change and no story of cancellation! This has been put on the back burner because of all the movies Alba has been involved with. Since she is also an executive producer she has to be in on the preparations and casting for it!

Jessica alba should just stop acting altogether and become a model or something. That way, her legions of fanboys can still spoog over her any day of the week cause she'd still be on the cover of every other magazine and the rest of us can finally see some real actresses cast instead of her.

You can adore Alba all you want but you can't deny that she looks nothing like the character. First the made her Sue Storm which was a big no no, now this? A pale, milk white skinned redheaded killer? It just doesn't work.

She was "pale" skinned in Dark Angel kinda cause they shot uop in vancover canada where there's not much sun.

Pale white = albino. Just in case you never knew that.

So because there are no pale white actresses with red hair in Hollywood they decided to cast a brunette latino girl? Where is the sense in that? I'm sure there are plent of actresses that could have been tapped for the role that would have been much better.

All three of them would be much better choices.

And just because her mother has something doesn't mean Alba does. Not every feature your mother or father has gets passed to you...it's called a recessive gene. Alba does not have pale skin and we know she didn't pass for a blonde in Fantastic Four (horrible choice for Sue Storm) and she would probably look just as unconvincing as a redhead.
