Yeah, I think those are some of the best changes made because they are a couple of the most fundamental problems with the movie. Keeping Maul around gives Obi-Wan agency and the trilogy a truly threatening and iconic villain.

I love so so much about these. I genuinely felt more emotional impact from part 2 than I did in any of the 3 actually films.
As mentioned, the way Owen is used is fantastic. I loved the relationships between the core 3. Anakin's arc was so much more tragic and human. I think if these were fleshed out, they would make an excellent trilogy.
There is some straining in part 3 to preserve later secrets. It works just about, and I like the idea of keeping things hidden, but some further work there is needed to sell it.
