BvS Ben Affleck IS Batman - - - - - - - - - - - Part 38

I thought the voice was very well done for the most part. It's nice to not hate Batman's voice again!

 

The I liked the voice. It was especially cool when it was malfunctioning at the end of the BvS fight. Though I have to say his actual voice coming through was actually a pretty decent bat voice.

 

Yeah, I like the malfunctioning part at the end of the Supes fight. Very cool.

I hated the plot-deux-ex-machina, but loved the acting from Affleck, so I'm torn.

 

I don't care for it on principle (I don't want to be listening to Batman with a robot voice for the rest of my filmgoing life), but I thought it interesting in the finale of the fight with Superman, where Bruce's helmet is smashed and his real voice starts bleeding into the dialoue. Effective.

 

Agreed. He sound like malfunctioning cyborg at end fight lol.

 

Funny enough, Bruce's voice when he says "We see what promises can do." would have been a good Batvoice.

 

Yeah, Affleck has some great lines as Bruce Wayne which is why I'm disappointed that they covered his performance up with a robot voice. It wasn't terrible, and as I mentioned I felt it did enhance that one scene, but I'd rather hear the performance.

 

I'd keep the robo-voice for the robo-suit, it fits well, but Affleck's Wayne voice would have been fine for the Bat-voice. If his Wayne voice was already so Batmanish without trying, I think he would have nailed it if Snyder told him to do a Bat-voice instead of giving him the modulator.

 

Ooh yeah, for some reason that heavy breathing sounded really cool to me as well, lol.

 

He's fighting an alien god, if he's not gasping for breath, he's not trying hard enough

 

I dunno. I loved in the warehouse fight when he would get hit and grunt. Imagine being the one punching him and hearing that voice come out of him! That would be freaky

 

I liked the voice modulator.

Especially in the interior scenes, like in jail at the end. It sounded a lot less tinny there, like maybe it's projecting less? He sounded like an angry demon there.

His voice in the desert scene sounded the best to me.

"Did you get it?" was especially good.

 

I agree. I was thinking that same thing when I heard him say that.

 

I loved how big he looked compared to the soldiers also.

 

Keaton was always my favorite live action Batman, but Ben has now become my favorite. I thought he played both Bruce and Batman very good. I look at B:TAS series, to me he looks a lot like that Bruce/Batman.

yeah, the warehouse scene was basically a recreation of Arkham. The thugs were trying to be badass but you could tell they were freaked out.

 

The voice as regular Batman was spot on, the armored Bat voice was extreme but still it made an impact.

 

I liked how Affleck even changed his normal voice when he played Bruce.

As Batman, loved the way they did his voice, and even during the quieter moments it sounded good, like when he introduced himself to Martha.

Love the idea that this Batman has already battled Mr.Freeze, Clayface…had his back broken by Bane, etc….
