If BvS and SS were universally lauded films there wouldn't be complaints about quantity. There's a desire to slow down precisely because there's this perceived notion they're rushing and sacrificing the integrity of the films.

There's nothing to slow down. They only announced a few additional films. Just a handful are in actual production.

One of the issues with DCEU is the slate We're going to do BvS, SS, Wonder Woman, JL and Aquaman.

And we're also going to do Flash, JL2, Cyborg, Shazam and Green Lantern Corps after that.

Wait, we're also doing the Batman, Lobo, Booster Gold, Justice League Dark, Suicide Squad 2, Gothan City Sirens, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Man of Steel 2 and 2 Black Adam movies too.

Then it's well, we're pushing back JL2.
We're on our 3rd director for Flash and that's being pushed back.
Oh, just had the director step down for the Batman.

They need to stop announcing everything and just focus on a few movies at a time. Right now, it only seems like after JL that Aquaman is the only movie on track.

This is what i agree with. Dont worry about announcing every film with a date. Announce the film, but have some freedom with the date, then there's less pressure.

People forget. Or forgive, because the lion's share of Marvel's films have been well received.

There's a counter act to everything concerning Marvel because of its reception with critics and success's at the Box Office. Everything is swept under the rug because they've "earned it." No matter the case after the fact, things get heated and ugly behind the scenes no matter the end result or reception of said films. WB shouldn't be crucified over it but that's the nature of this beast.

The end results matter. That is what has damn the DCEU so far.

Yeah, I'd agree with this too. I'm not really concerned with what's coming in 2019. I just started 2017 for crying out loud. People will survive. If people can't be that patient then sorry , Get a life. Kiss a girl if you haven't already. It's usually better than a movie.

Remember when fans whined about how few projects WB had in development? How WB had all these great heroes that should be leveraged to make franchises out of?
And now they can't seem to get out of their own way and want to do ALL the films.

It's aimless, directionless, and without a cohesive narrative or strategy.

This is what you get when you rush everything just to get the Marvel dollar.

You know why you should be concerned about what's coming in 2019? Because it has to start pre production this year and filming next year. And things like that can't stay hidden. Also look at upcoming 2018, 2019 movies. There are already movies slated for certain weekends for the next few years.

The end results aren't all bad, though. These movies are still making bank and having an insane amount of gross's during the first weekends of release. That means there's interest there and audience's will flock to these films. There's a reason why WB hasn't pulled the plug because the potential is there for ONE right move to blow this thing up in the right direction an all of a sudden, Marvel won't be the only studio that "earned the right" to have things swept under the rug in their favor. This might all look messy but if Wonder Woman or JL is well received, the studio all of a sudden has more power to play with and steer the ship in the right direction.

I heard that Terrio's script was heavily rewritten by Snyder and that Terrio was embarassed to see his name in the credits and wanted it taken off.

I heard that Eisenberg rewrote it and was too embarrassed to watch the finished product.

I don't think Eisenberg even watched his performance from 'The Social Network' that made his career. He said numerous times he never watch's his films at any circumstance.

Did we all forget Gotham City Sirens was announced... Without a date.

But that's just it, 10 of those movies DON'T have a release date. The problem is how can you squeeze in those movies, when you're booked through 2020!?

And even if you only announced until say Aquaman next year, 2018 what's the sense of saying, this director/actor/screenwriter is attached to a movie that's going to be released post 2020?

There's pros and cons to audience and fans with short term memory. For all the bad that fans forget about Marvel, the same can be applied to DCEU after one great film. All it takes is one gret film and all of a sudden, everyone will be all, "See, I knew WB had a plan all along" and, "After working so hard recovering from 2-3 bad films, WB has finally *earned* it (whatever the hell it is)".

The same way Marvel can eff this all up is to end this entire built on 2 films that are mediocre, namely IW1 and 2. After all that build up, and if IW falls flat, it's going to leave a big mark regardless of how great the previous 20+ films were. Pros and cons to every scenario.

As far as film announcements go, studios announce films all the time. All the films WB announce can be more or less labelled tentative, or being in the pipeline. I don't know why people are holding them to it when it's just an announcement, with no release date whatsoever, aside from the general range range sometimes.

That's right, he doesn't.

Movies being announced as being in development before they're concretely greenlit is pretty common in Hollywood, as is announcing movies with attached actors, even if the script isn't done or there's no director. Especially big name actors, some of which book film projects years in advance.

I hardly think that's the problem the DCEU has, following Hollywood/business conventions in that regard.

I agree that one effective film will change the discussion. Go Aquaman.

Aquaman has a really good team around it which means WB will somehow f*** it up.
