You seem really invested in this, shauner.

Indeed.

They're telling us to ignore the fact Affleck tweeted to welcome Reeves on board, and to instead hold on to a vibe that they're actually lying and Affleck won't reprise the role again.

Duh, it's the goddamn batman. I want it to be awesome and Reeves is a better choice than Affleck for directing. But so what? It's not enough.

Good... news? What sorcery is this?

I luv the potential of the Nightwing idea.

This entire production is turning into a mystery conspiracy worthy of Batman himself.

I like MoS, but I love BvS...especially the Ultimate Edition. I don't care for Suicide Squad though. They were gutless and the film should've been so much more.

Loooooooooooooooooooove MoS, I like BvS UC (there is no other cut!) and hate SS and everything in it.

It's acting like a child just because you want them to do it later so you can be happy for a few more days? I'm not sure which one is being childish.

Like I said, thicker skin is needed.

Frankly, I'm glad that it seems Warner Bros is getting their act together for this film, between working things out with Reeves directing (which I expected) and Affleck making this sort of sign to show he's still on-board as Batman.

Some folks might think that all the negative press has been ridiculous or the byproduct of some massive conspiracy against the DCEU, but I think it's absolutely fair for people to continue being somewhat skeptical towards the Batman/DCEU news as of late.

Hell, I've been plenty skeptical for awhile now myself. I don't hate the DCEU by means and nor do I want it to fail miserably: I think Affleck's fantastic as Batman and he deserves to be a part of new entry in the franchise that can rival the quality of something like The Dark Knight. But I don't think it's wrong of me or anyone else to remain cautious or skeptical just now.

Today was a fantastic first step towards recovery for the DCEU and The Batman film in general. Matt Reeves is absolutely the right guy to direct this film and today's demonstration of unity between him, Affleck and Warner Bros is the kind of attitude we need to see across the DCEU widespread moving forward.

More importantly though, we need to see results. But- understandably- that's going to take time. Reeves has to finish post-production for War for the Planet of the Apes and Affleck and Warner Bros need to start prepping for promoting Justice League before they can really start talking more seriously about The Batman and moving from the pre-production stage over into the production stage.

Ben will decide how long he wants to play as Batman after his Bat solo movie, if that is well received, he may decide to continue for few more films, it's his prerogative, not of blogger's or fans.

Justin Kroll @krolljvar

For all you with these crazy Affleck theories, just stop it. He's in it and I have a good feeling he'll let you know he's in it shortly

And right after Kroll said this Affleck confirmed it. This Kroll guy is seriously connected.

Campea still riding his own train. You have the director, the star, and the president of DC Entertainment all saying it's on. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and know when to stop. Sometimes you just have to take the...

Well I thought MoS, BvS, and SS were all garbage, but I'm still plenty excited for WW and Aquaman. Hell, I'm still seeing JL and hoping for the best, despite Snyder's 0-2 track record.

Despite some misgivings and skepticism, I want to give every film a fair shake. And I'm a fan of these characters, so until I'm leaving the theater after the credits roll, I'll remain as optimistic as I reasonably can towards each of these movies. Besides, you'd think eventually WB would luck into a good DCEU film. Balance of probability and all that. :funny:

Massive prop for this attitude. Respect.

The only person I'm not mad at over at Collider is Perri Nemiroff just cause it's an impossibility. The rest.... smh. Campea and Sasha knew better than to start bs rumors on the internet. Just stop digging your own hole.

Isn't Ben also attached to this project as a Producer ?

I still like Harloff. The man doesn't seem to go all nerd ragey like Campea.

I like Harloff. But Campea and co just embarassed themselves today. Ehh whatever.

So now Affleck, Johns and Matt Reeves are all onboard, I hope we get more news from this one. Heard that POTA 3 is getting great early reviews. Thats nice. I think they will start shooting this year and pre-productions gonna start soon.

You have Emmerich, Johns, Affleck, and Reeves all saying that The Batman is happening. They also threw in a bonus for good measure and let slip that the best guy to direct a Nightwing solo is in talks.

This was well coordinated. Only Mjolnir could to send a blunter and clearer message.

I think we will get some news about Flash movie soon.

Also, it would be better if WB finally announces what are their "phase - 2" movies.
