Personally, with Reeves all in, I don't think he signs on the dotted line if he has an inkling that Affleck is leaving. But caution. I still think EVERYTHING depends on WW and JL critically for things to stay as they are for Affleck and the DCEU.

I know yesterday was a wonderful day but again; caution. Not out of the woods yet.

I'm free of Affleck's temptation, as I have Lord Reeves love and kindness looking after me for the next 10 years

To be frank, NIGHTWING and GOTHAM CITY SIRENS have me more excited than THE BATMAN. Listen, I've wanted Reeves in this genre for a long, long while but this whole notion of THE BATMAN saving the DCEU from fans and bloggers is flat out ridiculous and insulting. No matter what Reeves does and I'm sure that he's going to epically deliver, I've already seen the greatest Batman cinematic story so nothing he can do will ever top what Nolan did in my eyes...or for that matter what Snyder did with BATMAN v SUPERMAN.

We've had plenty of Batman films over time. I love, love this character but the fervor over him lately is getting really ridiculous. Now, NIGHTWING and GCS is something we HAVEN'T had before and those two movies do what I've always wanted do with the Batman universe; it expands them without using the Batman all the time. This needs to happen in the Batman universe across the board. Get away from the Batman and just expand his universe. SQUAD was the first. I hope NIGHTWING and GCS get made so it shows WB that you can do more than Batman.

Frankly, we don't need THE BATMAN.

Ohh I dont believe all these "WW will save the DCEU" , "Batman will save the DCEU" rubbish. They are just movies with characters I love, and I wanna enjoy them and if Im lucky it will change the way I look at these characters like TDKT, MOS and BvS did. But thats not my expectation. I just want a good movie. I am looking forward to The Batman because it will have the likes of Ben Affleck, Chis Terrio, Matt Reeves and Geoff Johns behind it. I trust that team. And also because Ben Affleck's Batman is my favourite incarnation of Batman, and the more I see of him the better!

The click vanity articles were out in full force when Reeves was announced. Things like "Matt Reeves to direct the article but what about Ben Affleck" or "Why wasn't Ben Affleck mentioned in the Batman director announcement" etc. Just proof that the bias is real and they create click baits headlines for clicks. Well Affleck then tweets what he does (and if he were leaving I doubt he'd have done that) and makes them all look foolish.

I agree that we don't necessarily need The Batman, but since it's one of the things that I feel the most positive about, I'm going to take it. I'm sorry but BvS wasn't good to me but I'm happy for those who like it. I just hope we get some great movies in the future.

For me, THE BATMAN will be good solely because of Reeves. I don't think people understand how good he is as a storyteller. I never wanted Affleck to follow Nolan. He's a solid director but any day of the week, I'm taking Reeves over Affleck. Easily.

Going with a totally washed out Batman right at the start of the DCEU was a terrible move. We really only had a Batman in his prime in TDK, and then the next one already had him all given up and weary. So right now, a more energetic in-his-prime Batman would be much more engrossing

I propose that they use some hollywood magic to freshen up his appearance instead of intentionally making him older looking. I don't know if DC's going for it, but I want the Batman movie to be more lively like TDK and I don't want Affleck to look all spent up the entire movie
