Ben Browder: For The Flash?

I don't know if any of you guys are Farscape fans, but whenever I revisit that series I find myself thinking that its lead actor, Ben Browder, would be an inspired choice for the upcoming Flash film. And now that everything is back up in flux again, casting choices have to be finalized. Honestly, I believe he'd be solid.

For those of you who don't know who I'm referring to, here are some pics...

In my opinion, Browder has the acting chops and look to portray this character. He's charismatic, athletic and has serious credibility in the sci-fi genre. Personally, I believe he was the biggest reason for Farscape's success since he appeals to female viewers as well.

Some may object to his age (he's in his early 40's), as his recent photos bear out he's still hitting the weights and looking early 30ish. Besides, do we not have Robert Downey Jr. bringing some maturity and class to Iron Man? To me, if the actor looks younger but has the experience and chops to pull the role off, to hell with his numerical age...that shouldn't bar him from consideration. Comments?

and most people know him from SG1 .. Farscape was a good show but it was somwhat of a .. B-show :P

Ben Browder fits both Hal and Barry.. interesting how he fits 2 of the most boring versions of Green Lantern and the Flash :P

he'd be a pretty good choice for Barry, but I prefer Simon Baker.

Yeah, he would make a pretty good Barry, although I would like to see Aaron Eckhart there. That is, if he doesn't play Harvey Dent in TDK.

Somehow I doubt we'll see Barry in the Levy script.

Browder would be totally wrong for Wally West.

I'm a fan of Ben Browder and would be very happy if he was cast as Flash or Green Lantern I think he would be great, especially as Green Lantern.

Pretty much. ever since Jack Black's thing got canned we haven't heard a word about it. Who knows if they're even gonna try right now.

I think he looks good enough for Capt America, but probably too old. No one mentioned it above. He's got that square jaw thing going also. He would also be good for Hal too. How tall is he?

The best choice for Hal Jordan is still Nathan Fillion. Not only does he look the part, but he's also a much, much better actor than Browder.

I used to think Browder would be perfect for GL, but at this point, I don't expect to ever see a GL movie. I don't know why I never thought of him for Flash...I guess I'd sort of accepted that Ryan Reynolds would be the first choice if the project ever took off. I think Browder would be a damn good choice for Barry Allen, but his age will be an issue if development doesn't move along at a fairly rapid pace...
