I know it's odd that I would be the one to post this, seeing as how I HATE all thigns clone, but alot of Reilly fans dwell here, and I thought I may as well let them enjoy this.

Finishing proofreading "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #14." As to what's coming up in that issue, two words: Ben Reilly. I will say no more than that (okay, Deb Whitman and the Vulture). But...Ben Reilly.

I don't what they're going to do with this, but there it is, Clone-fans. Rejoice.

I'm going to go cry in my back yard for awhile...

Here's the link for all those who doubt this:

Maybe Ben will become the Spider-Scapegoat and re-mask Pete... but I'm so buying FNSM 14... just cause it has Ben... I guess he'll be in a flashback though...

It had better happen in a flashback. I mena, I know dead never means dead in a comic, but when a guyis impaled by a Goblin-glider, dropped 40 stories onto a car, and then disintegrates into dust, he should probably stay dead.

I wouldn't mind if it was even just a flashback... as long as Pete acknowledges the existance of his clone. Still, a return would be sweet too. I guess I won't be dropping this title just yet, maybe if only to see what happens.

Time to break out the dancing shoes :woot:
For the first time in years Ben is Back. I don't care if its a flashback or not. It will be great.

CLONES DON'T DISINTEGRATE FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME!

God damn, how long before we bash that into all yer FREAKIN' SKULLS?!

It was a continuity glitch as an excuse to just END things right there and clear up all questions, a continuity glitch that can be USED and EXPLOITED to bring Ben back without fanboys COMPLAINING about continuity!

As fer Ben's return, I dread what they'll do with it 'cause this new world of Spidey well, sucks. An' I don't want MY Spidey to be tainted with the stench of their bad decisions.

I really don't want to buy FNSM, but I guess I have to now. However their will be a large amount of screaming and tossing of a certain comic, if Peter whips out a fake id, with Ben's name on it. :cmad:

Well...it'll probaby get through my skull when you go back in time and change that page in Spider-Man #75 where Ben disintegrates...:woot:

Yeah...I never thought a CLONE's resurrection could be stunk up by something else that is even worse...but these are uncertain times....:csad:

when is 14 coming out?

These ****ers already ****ed up th' ****ing clone saga with their ****ing disintegration bull****, they better not **** it up even more by taintin' the ****ing memory of Ben Reilly with their ****ing faux Spidey bull**** they've been pulling the last two ****ing years.

Lol:woot:

Yea, hate for BR was pretty big about then, so that was pretty much there way of screaming, "HE'S GONE!! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW!!! HE REALLY DEAD!!!!!"

I'm going to go cry in my garden as well, and while it being a great garden and all, (which would normally make it hard,) London's winter has just begun, making it easier to cry.

Saying that, the cold would just remind me of BR's cold dead corpse, and then I'd start laughing again... heh

Lol, I;m sure your Mother would be proud.

To be honest Wolvie, (feels weird to say that to someone else,) don't get your hopes up too much... This is the same guy who created evil murderous psychotic Uncle Ben here

My hopes ain't up. I know they'll **** it.

Yeah...it's better that you not get your hopes up and just get angry now....that way, maybe you'll have vented a little by the time the issue actually drops.

I honestly think that Joe Q has decided that the only fans he hasn't pissed off completely are the Clone Saga fans...and I guess he's decreed that it is time to piss them off as well.

I can't believe they're going to ruin both Spider-Man....At least Miguel O'Hara is safe.

if they ruin ben i will drop ALL my marvekl books except spidergirl (i may finish my complete civil war collection but i may even drop that too ill see how angry I am)

I **** MYSELF IN JOY.

And yes, his "death" is easily retconned- the body we saw perish was a fake, as his body shouldn't have done that in the first place.

Well didn't Peter David promise the Hobgoblin before?
I bet we will get Ben Rielly 2099!

then i will destroy him for giving us hope! he has said ben rielly will be in this issue if he isnt I am gonna figure out a way to ruin him

BEN REILLY is back to save the day!! YESSS! If he's truly getting a second chance, please writers dont mess this up. I would love to seeBen's reaction to all this civil war crap. And it would be priceless to see peter and ben fight side by side again, they had great chemistry together. (no pun intended).

They'll bring back Ben to masquerade around as Peter Parker; thus proving to the world that the real Peter Parker, who is in fact, really Ben Reilley, cannot be Spider-Man.

This COULD be the loop hole out of the Unmasking storyline.

I dunno, after reading the solicitation fot FNSM #14 im not sure its gonna be what he think:

FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #14
The Story: It’s the return of Peter Parker’s old flame, Deb Whitman! Unfortunately for Peter, she’s written a tell-all memoir about her relationship with him, entitled “How Spider-Man Ruined My Life.” Ouch! As if that weren’t bad enough, the Vulture has been set loose from prison to scavenge for Spider-Man, but who’s behind his release and what nefarious scheme do they have up their sleeve?
32 PGS./Rated A ...$2.99

I mean, if Ben Reilly was really returning don't you think the solicitation would have implied that something big was gonna happen. I mean for a big event like Ben's revival you would think Marvel woulda hinted us by saying somthing like " Someone from Peter's past is coming back, the answer...will shock you!"
This issue seems like its gonna be pretty basic from the solicitation

Not really, considerin' most current readers have no clue about th' clone saga and most long-term readers hated it.

I've had a feeling Ben Reilly was coming back after I noticed Scarlet Spider listed as a member of the New Warriors in the Civil War Files one shot. I know he used to be a member, but it seems pointless to mention him as a member so many years after his death if something wasn't going to happen with the character.

Um, they also mentioned Helix who hasn't been around either. That's not a clue, that's continuity.
