Was it just me, or was Harry's death really similar to that of Ben Reilly in the comics? jumping infront of Peter to take the force of the glider, thus killing himself to save Peter's life. Plus in the movies although rocky, there has been a strong brotherhood like bond between the pair.

Maybe I'm looking into it too much as a fan of Reilly, it's just what sprung to mind...

Ya it is very similar to that. But it is also somewhat similar to the story arcs he had in the comics(minus the wife and drugs) vengeence, hatred, and evertually acceptance, forgivness, and redemption. In both cases(harry) died like a hero, as did Ben.

The entire ending felt so clone saga charged- I was so pumped. Seeing the two of them fight side by side like brothers, then the leap in front of the glider.. I **** myself. Posted about it in the comics section. Great stuff, glad I'm not the only one who noticed!!

Last time I checked, Pete didn't make impact webbing. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the proof enough that Reilly was an influence with the web bullets?

I think there was a lot of clone saga similarities and references in the movie:

1. Harry being impaled by glider when saving Peter
2. Peter accidentally striking MJ.
3. Emo/"I am the spider" Peter
4. When I saw Flint Marko's daughter, all i could think about was Ben's ex: Jessica Carradine (her father killed Uncle Ben).
5. When Harry dies, there's a shot of Peter and MJ kneeling over his body as the sunset is in the background which reminded me of the last page of Revelations ("Now we'll face things together, as husband and wife").

Loved the movie btw, except for the Harry/Peter teamup. Seemed forced and out of character.
