We got the shipment of the exclusives you receive when you (I believe) purchase the special edition of The Dark Knight. They are really cool mini-statues (I'd say about 5 inches tall) of the Joker and Batman (I don't know if you'll be able to choose between the two). The Joker statue looks a lot like the one where he is standing on the deck of the cards. Ditto for the Batman from that set.

Don't fret on having a complete set of the two. Whichever one you don't receive with your DVD, you can purchase for $9.99.

do you know if the special edition blu ray, with the batpod, does that have the regular blu ray case with it, or does it have some stupid alternate packaging? in the pics i've seen there is some rounded triangular shape behind the batpod, i worry that that is an alternate styled case.

i really want the batpod but i also want the regular styled case.

I asked around and even my friend who is the Media supervisor doesn't know which edition comes with the statue yet. He said they should be getting instructions soon. I wasn't aware of any kind of alternate-shaped case.

Usually our exclusives will come with both the Special Edition and the Blu-Ray (that's how it was with The Hulk). If you pre-order right now, you'll actually a receive a poster (either the Batpod poster or the international Joker poster). So the statues will be part of some package deal when the DVD actually comes out.

Oh yeah, HanaBi, about the steelbook. I'm pretty sure back when the editions of the DVD were announced that they said there will be a steelbook. I don't know if every store is going to have it or not.

I believe that the mini-statues are also sold separately for $10 each, so in theory you could buy the Bat-Pod or Clown Mask package plus a statue as a separate item. It all depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Got some more info guys. As someone said earlier, the statues are only for purchase. The pre-packs are as followed:

- Special Edition DVD w/ Joker Mask - $34.99
- Special Edition DVD w/ Batman Mask - $34.99
- Special Edition Blu-Ray w/ Bat-Pod - $49.99 (not exclusive to Best Buy)
- Special Edition Blu-Ray w/ Batman Mask - $39.99
- Special Edition Blu-Ray w/ Joker Mask - $39.99

The DVDs on their own are available in a full screen version and a widescreen version. The single disc edition is $14.99 and the special edition is $22.99.

Media associate told me tonight that people with pre-orders get first crack at purchasing the statues but pretty much it's first come, first serve so get there early on the 9th. We only got a box of each statue so I'm assuming quantities are very limited.

And as Hana said, there is no steelbook for Best Buy just standard plastic cases.

Also, heads up on ebay and Amazon as I'm sure some employees will try to hawk them, all media associates got a black t-shirt with the Hahahahaha bat on the front and "Anarchy Begins On DVD & Blu-Ray December 9th". I tried scoring one but everyone snatched the extras. They only came in medium and large anyways.

At the moment, they don't have store pickup available, only shipping. I don't know why the Batman statue isn't available yet but it probably will be shortly.

Definitely. I already pre-ordered The Joker so that's just gonna come to my house. So I'm gonna try to pick up Batman on Tuesday. I'm still debating which special edition to go with, the Batman mask or The Joker mask. I think the Joker mask looks cooler.
