Ok I bought a creative zen vision M back in March! But lately that **** been freezing after an hour of use!!! I cant stand it anymore!!! Now I know if go to the store they will replace it with a brand new Zen but is it possble for them replace it with the New Ipod Classic???

I think it will depend on the store. Throughout the years I've bought stuff with the replacement plan and sometimes they would allow me to get another brand and sometimes not.

yea I remember I had a Stereo which lasted two years and when it was broken best buy allowed me to get any other stereo I wanted. Just play the difference.

Just do what I used to do. Replace it with the same product, then have some one else go in, & get a refund. Then buy the Ipod Classic. Easy peesy.

Someone else go in??? Wouldnt they know by the receipt???

The replacement plan is a necessary evil if you have an X-Box but I would use it for all electronics from Best Buy.

I had to replace my 360 twice. However, that was covered under the manufacturer's and stores warranty. If it breaks again, it will be another $50.00 for a new warranty.

They didn't when I did it numerous times. I think if the product isn't opened they will just scan the UPC to make sure it is theres, & just tell them you don't have the receipt it was a birthday gift.

Should work.

Best Buy won't take anything back without a receipt even if it's not opened. I think Walmart does.

but the product been open and used since March:confused:

I think what MC is saying is this:

You return broken item A to the store without a receipt and get new item B.

Then you have someone else bring back new item B using broken item A's receipt for the money.

Step 1. You take in the opened product, & replace it with a new product.

Step 2. You go out side the store, & hand off the new product to your friend.

Step 3. He/She takes the new unopened product into the store, & tells them that they got this for there birthday, & they don't have the receipt. Can they still get there money back?

Step 4. This step will vary. The clerk should just scan the product to make sure that it is theirs, & give you your money back, but store policy could be different. Worst case is they say no.

They could also just give you in-store credit for the item rather than cash if you don't have the receipt.

I don't think they do in store with opened products.

No, I mean the unopened product he exchanges his Zen POS for that then gets taken back into the store for refund. Without a receipt, they may just give in store credit.

Im going to do more research on the Classics because Im still undecided with 80 gigs and 160. Once I figure what I want, ill give it a try.

There's not much difference. One has a bigger hard drive and costs more, otherwise they're pretty much the same unit.

Oh, right. Either way should work, but now I get what you are saying. My bad.

I want to see it person first! See if there's a huge size difference between the two. I want to get the 160 gig but if its thicker than the 80 gig than Ill just get the 80. Also Im undecided on the color! I love black but its always prone to scratches and I hate that ****! I like the new silver color for the Ipod.
