Best comic book movie of 2010

I enjoyed kick Ass the most but IM2 and Pilgrim are definately front runners.

The Losers was not listed in the poll...(and was better than Iron Man 2 and Jonah Hex)

Also, 30 Days Of Night: Dark Days and RED have not even been released yet, but will be before the end of the year, so this poll serves no purpose until all of the movies are released.

Scott Pilgrim pretty easily for me from that list. It may not be perfect, but crafts one of the most visual exciting movies in years, while keeping certain underlying themes & ideas that people tend to miss in it's break neck speed and offbeat humor. Solid acting all around, and one of those rare films that oozes as a labor of love from cast and crew.

Iron Man 2 was pretty disappointing to me. A lot of wasted potential and felt too much like they were recapping plot elements from the first. Kick-Ass was pretty good, but I felt it started out really interesting as a satire and comment on losing sight in fantasy, but lost that and became basically what it was satirizing by the time all was said and done (which wasn't bad per say, but forsake what I found interesting about the film in the beginning).

All three were at least good, but Scott Pilgrim vs The World was the only one I would consider exceptional, and love it or hate it, the film is definitely something unique.

oops forgot about Losers and Red.

but I think they would've lost anyway.

This is a three man race between Kick Ass, Iron Man, and Pilgrim.

I'll have to see Scott Pilgrim before I vote. For now I'd say Kick-Ass. I found IM2 to be very middling. Not a bad film but it was very forgettable.

You're probably right. It's the same reason why more comic book fans love the Ghost Rider movie than Persepolis...which if you compare the two away from any superhero bias you'd see that Persepolis absolutely owns Ghost Rider.

I don't get your analogy?

Are you comparing Scott Pilgrim and Kick Ass to Ghost Rider?

I wasnt much for Iron Man 2, it served its purpose, but I was just kind of meh afterwards

Kick Ass I enjoyed immensly and was quite glad that it got made but was somewhat disapointed that it left out a major part of the books climax (much of big daddy's reveal)

Scott Pilgrim though I enjoyed to no end, and I think it may actually be the best movie I've seen all year. I don't think I've seen another adaptation that captured the engergy of a comic so well. Even direct translations like 300 and Sin City didn't get that for me.

Iron Man 2 then Kick-Ass. I'm not interested in Pilgrim

No...I'm saying that it doesn't matter how good RED or 30 Days Of Night: Dark Days are...they stand zero chance of winning this poll. The movies are not out yet...none of us know how good they could be...but we all know that it really doesnt matter how good they end up being. They simply don't fit the bias of the people who visit this forum to win.

I love Kick Ass...and Scott Pilgrim looks great (seeing it tomorrow)...

For me iron man 2, kick-ass,Scott pilgrim. I loved all three of these movies but I had the most fun watching scott pilgrim.

while i think scott pilgrim was directed better... kickass had more character... rather than characters.

dont know why jonah hex is on the list... i actually saw it and it was worse than i could've ever imagined.

Ironman2 felt like transformers.. not a big fan.

You should definitely give it a chance man, it may suprise you.

Thats what my friend said too lol. So I might give a look, i've been hearing nothing but good things about it.

Scott Pilgrim looks terrible to me. Between Kick Ass and Iron Man 2, I cannot choose, I loved both. What I liked about this year is that we only had two big superhero movies. They where both great and we had stuff like Prince of Persia, Knight & Day, Robin Hood, Inception, Predators, The A-Team and The Expendables and that was different to the norm. Sure, some of it didn't work but the next two summers are gonna be over saturated with superhero stuff and it's gonna kill off the genre unfortunately. I say keep it to two or three big superhero movies a year, spice it up with some Sci-Fi, an 80's style shoot 'em up and some fantasy. That way genres can have some longlevity. I'm just sick of studios attaching themselves to one particular genre and sucking every bit of life out of it.

IM2

yeah yeah it was a massive advert for the avengers and had a lot of in jokes, well, I got the in jokes and I'm looking forward to the avengers so it was like the movie was specifically made for me.

Kick Ass.

Iron Man 2 was so underwhelming.

"Kick-Ass", with "Iron Man 2" coming in 2nd. I haven't seen either "Scott Pilgrim" or "Jonah Hex".

Sadly they're not releasing Kick Ass where I live. I guess the dvd will come in time but haven't seen it.

I have only seen Iron Man 2 and it was terribly dissapointing, given that the first one was so good.

I'd definitely say Scott Pilgrim followed by Kick-Ass and then Iron Man II. The only scenes I really liked in IM2 was the race car sequence and the one with Tony's dad. Saw Scott Pilgrim last night and there was nothing that I didn't love about it. The effects, the casting, the humor, everything was great. As for Kick-Ass, I'll have to catch it again since it's been so long.

So the sequel to 30 days of night is done? Please tell me Josh Hartnett isn't in it. He is the only thing I didn't like about the first one.

I've only seen Iron Man 2 and was hugely disappointed because it wasn't very good. Scott Pilgrim looks terrible to me/not my thing at all so I'm not seeing it in theaters. I might if I'm bored watch it on DVD. Haven't seen Kick Ass yet either because I have very little interest but I'll watch it soon enough.

Iron Man 2 wins....eventhough I didn't like it.
