    Here are my rankings:

    1) Infinity War
    2) Deadpool 2
    3) Black Panther
    4) Aquaman
    5) Ant Man and The Wasp
    6) Venom

Extremely close between 2 and 3 and they honestly flip flop quite a bit. Honestly enjoyed them all though.

    1. Into the Spider-Verse: I voted for BP by accident, but this is definitely my top pick. A Very entertaining and at times emotional tribute to the Spider-Man franchise. Like many people, this film made me interested in Miles Morales. Peter B. Parker is an interesting, new take on the classic version of Spider-Man, and the supporting characters are charismatic enough to front their own movies. Easily the best Spidey film since Spider-Man 2.

    2. Black Panther: A very strong cast of characters and,to me, the super villain of the year in Michael B Jordan's Erik Killmonger. Its always good to see a superhero movie work in some social commentary, and hopefully the cultural impact of this film can extend past this year.

    3. Infinity War: I have to start off by saying that I think its funny how plenty of fanboys will claim BP is overrated, and then go on to overrate this film. That being said, this film does a mostly satisfying job at crossing over mega franchises like the Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy. The snap was definitely one of if not the most notable scene in 2018 cinema.

    4. Aquaman: Overall, this was....ok, I guess. Its visually fantastic, though, and Jason Momoa is a charismatic lead. Hopefully the sequel will be a step up.

    5. Deadpool 2: Plenty of sequels fail to match the original movie. Deadpool 2 is one of those sequels. Domino and Cable were a delight, and there was a great action scene or two in there.

    6. Ant Man and the Wasp: An enjoyable, but ultimately forgettable sequel. The Wasp is a badass, though.

I might watch the PG-13 Deadpool 2, or ignore it entirely.
I will watch the other two in February, or whenever they hit the shelves.

    1. Infinity War - One of the Top 5 CBM's ever

    2. Deadpool 2 - Not as good as the 1st, still solid despite the kid being annoying and a bad actor
    3. Aquaman - Good solid movie, Patrick Wilson is dull as usual but he was serviceable
    4. Venom - Tom Hardy carries a mediocre movie
    5. Ant Man - Rudd and Lillie are entertaining but the movie was mostly forgettable
    6. Black Panther - Not only overrated, but a flat out boring movie, fell asleep 3/4 through. Michael B. Jordan is an awful actor, I will never understand how the perception is otherwise

I'll probably watch Into the Spider-Verse eventually, no intention of watching Teen Titans or Incredibles.

    1. Deadpool 2 SDC
    2. Spiderman ITTSV
    3. Black Panther
    4. Avengers IW
    5. Venom

A pretty good year all round, Venom wasnt the best but it was saved by the lead and getting the main character right, but the top 4 were all great stuff and nice and varied as well. Antman and Aquaman didnt do much for me but they weren't bad either just not in my top 5. Surprised Deadpool 2 matched and even surpassed the first in some ways and the extended cut was even better. Spiderman was a pure delight, BP was a breath of fresh air even if a little formulaic plot wise and Avengers was iconic and a moment in time, roll on 2019.

aw, he's not so bad, watch Hunt For the Wilderpeople, he was great in that
His character was just very poorly thought out in DP2

I don't think it's so much for me "Ant-Man & the Wasp wasn't great" as much as it is this year had some exceptional CBMs of very high quality that I do think eclipsed it. In a less crowded for quality year, I think it may get more love.

Had to go with Infinity War. Black Panther is iconic and a more important milestone for the genre, but Infinity War felt like something else entirely. It was like the big payoff after 10 years of investment in this universe. It felt like something that could never realistically be achieved on film. And yet they did it.

Has no one seen I Kill Giants?
While it isn't my favorite comic book movie of the year, I did like it more than about half of the films listed here.

I still think "The Avengers" is better. IW was a great season finale though.

Honestly, neither are many of the films listed.

Personally, I don't care to see Infinity War ever again...and people seem to love that inconsequential piece of popcorn fluff.

No, but my quick and basic google research has it listed as a 2017 movie, so how is that related to a 2018 thread? Was it released this year in wider release or something? I never heard of this movie.

Indie releases tend to get staggered releases like that...like...they'll play a festival, so it gets listed as a 2019 film, gets picked up for distribution...sits on a shelf...and 2 years later gets put out on DVD. I don't know the backstory of I Kill Giants...but I do know that I had no opportunity to watch it until 2018.

This is a hard one for me, not to pick a winner that's easy its Infinity War for me. Choosing just how much it wins by is the hard task and I don't say that to rubbish other movies of 2018 its just how much I loved this movie.

Would probably have to give the Silver to Aquaman and Bronze to Deadpool 2

See I loved the first Ant-Man and still thoroughly enjoyed the sequel but I just felt like it didn't have the same magic of the first one.
