Which is the best comic book movie quadrilogy of all time? By which I mean, which managed to sustain the highest level of quality over its four films?

For the purposes of this thread, X-Men (either 2000-2006+2014 and 2011-2019) count as a "quadrilogy", despite consisting of 7 films, given that they are one continuous story.

The choices:
Superman - Superman, Superman II, Superman III, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace
Batman - Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin
X-Men - X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: Days of Future Past
Avengers - The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame
X-Men - X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Dark Phoenix
Thor - Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: Love and Thunder

My vote is for the Avengers

Can I take X-Men, X2, First Class and Days of Future Past as a quadrilogy? :o

That would really destroy everything else.

I'll say Avengers, but I don't consider the Avengers a quadrilogy due to Civil War.

Definitely The Avengers, although personally I view it as a pentalogy instead (I also include Civil War). I love all of them besides Age of Ultron, and even that one is okay, not actively bad.

Yes, I added it in this thread so you should. :xmen:

For future references, the upcoming comic book movie quadrilogies:
Wolverine: X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Wolverine, Logan, Deadpool & Wolverine (if people want to view it as a Wolverine quadrilogy)
Spider-Man: Spider-Man Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Untitled Spider-Man film with Tom Holland

I don't think we've had a comic book pentalogy yet? Thor 5 if it happens and I hope it doesn't.:yousure:

I meant switching The Last Stand with First Class. Obviously it's no quadrilogy, it's just four movies in one franchise so it doesn't count, but if it did it would be by far the best!

I grouped them because of the Ot cast. Dofp opened with them and ended with them. Well technically it opened with the random mutant kid, and ended with Stryker/Apocalypse. But still, they were the group that, we first saw and last saw in the ending. Hugh Jackman also had the most screentime if I'm not mistaken. Also the X door, really made it felt like a X4 despite heavily featuring the FC cast.

As for X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men First Class as a quadrilogy. Hmm I actually didn't think of them as a quadrilogy even when they were only five FoX-Men movies (including Origins: Wolverine). I always viewed First Class as a spin-off.

In my opinion, the movie should have been called Avengers: Civil War but to make things less complicated, I just group Civil War, with The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier. The First Avenger having a different set of cast members (aside from Chris/Sebastian) from Winter Soldier really made it easier, to view Civil War as a Captain America 3 movie.

But the A1 to 4 + Civil War is a really strong group of five movies. I fear when Avenger 5/6 end up as worse than Age of Ultron.

It's Avengers by a landslide. This should probably be which of the other 5 is 2nd best.

Avengers takes this one.

Civil War is a Cap movie. Debate settled :o

1. Avengers
2. X-Men (ot cast)
3. Thor
4. Wolverine
5. X-Men (younger cast)
6. Batman
7. Superman

Looking forward to rank Spider-Man there in the not so distant future.

Of the choices provided, Avengers easily.

They don't contain my favourite film of all the choices but the consistency across the four films of the Avengers films is way higher than the other film series choices.

1. Avengers
2. X-Men (ot cast)
3. Thor
4. Wolverine
5. X-Men (younger cast)
6. Batman
7. Superman

Counting Brave New World as part of the CA films.

1. Avengers (Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War, Endgame)
2. X-Men (X-Men, X2, The Last Stand, Days of Future Past)
3. Thor (Thor, The Dark World, Ragnarok, Love & Thunder)
4. Wolverine (Origins, The Wolverine, Logan, Deadpool & Wolverine)
5. Captain America (First Avenger, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Brave New World)
6. X-Men (First Class, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix)
7. Batman (Batman, Returns, Forever, Batman & Robin)
8. Superman (Superman, II, III, IV: The Quest for Peace)

Looking forward to rank Spider-Man (Homecoming, Far from Home, No Way Home, Brand New Day) there in the not so distant future.
