just curious, im in the middle of Deathly Hallows....

i like HP3 and HP6....my fav would have to be Half-Blood Prince though (so far)

Order of the Phoenix was great, but i found myself losing interest in certain chapters...

The one where the old guy is gay.

Everything about Deathly Hallows was amazing except for the epilogue which is the worst chapter in the series.

Damn the "new" fans! :cmad:

Chamber of Secrets is wurr it's at! :cmad:

The Deathly Hallows
The Order of the Phoenix
The Half-Blood Prince

My favorites, in that order.

i grew up with the series as well....but like i stated above....i got bored at certain parts of OOTP....so in short i stopped reading for a while and read some other books, then came back to Harry Potter...

i felt deathly hallows was the least effort to read where as others you sorta noticed the hours go by

I kinda just stopped after The Goblet of Fire obviously. It seemed to take forever for OOTP to come out. After that I started frequenting the fanboards and really got into the series. You wouldn't believe some of the theories I've seen.

HBP!

the story of snape who is of course the best character in the books!

Am I the only one on here who's never read a single one of these books? Maybe I should just do it.

yea ya should. they are addicting....just get threw books 1 and 2 to understand the world created(its not a hard thing to do cause they are fun)

Didn't it take 3 years? I don't remember I didn't start reading until like 2 years ago.

In order:
Ordre of the Phoenix
Deathly Hallows
Half-Blood Prince
Chamber of Secrets
Sorcerer's Stone
Prisoner of Azkaban

I know a lot of people are gonna disagree with me but I love OOTP I just sped through it while my least favorite was HBP. Even though it did tell a lot about Voldemort and it had a good ending I was really bored throughout and it could've been shortened by 100 pages or so.

Chamber of Secrets was the first one I read (Had a long flight, had seen the first movie, saw the book in the airport and was curious) so it has some nostalgia appeal to me, but Goblet is probably my favorite. It balances all the elements that makes Harry Potter great, perfectly.

Though Order of the Phoenix has the best villain in modern literature in the form of Umbridge.

OOTP coulda been shortened by alot as well.... so far my order is

Half-Blood Prince
Goblet of Fire
Prisoner of Azkaban
Order of the Phoenix
Sorcerers Stone
Chamber of Secrets

in the middle of Deathly Hallows, and so far, its right around HBP and GoF.

the half blood prince because the build-up is always btter than the eventual letdown of the conclusion of a story.

I really like Prisoner of Azkaban... probably because it heavily featured my two favorite characters. Lupin and Sirius Black. It was also the last book where there was a real sense of wonder.

1. Deathly Hallows
2. Goblet of Fire & Prisoner of Azkaban tied
3. Order of the Phoenix
4. Half-Blood Prince
5. Everything else. :o

would anyone want read a prequel book if JK wrote it?

i just think it would be interesting for a story with sirius lupin wormtail james and snape...maybe ending where sorcerers stone began...

i know we know the story but id like to read it in detail

Goblet of Fire
Prisoner of Azkaban
Half Blood Prince
Philosopher's Stone
Deathly Hollows
Order of the Phoenix
Chamber of Secrets

But hey, I loved them all (except maybe Chamber of Secrets, but even then it was still a fun read).
