All right, well I've been reading around but honestly, which makeup is the best right now? I plan to do the scars with rigid collodion but I'm a little confused on how to go about the rest. I keep seeing cheap-o licensed Joker makeup but I'd rather get authentic stuff. Can anybody give me a rundown on some pretty good makeup and the right way to apply it? (to get the wrinkles and dimples and what not) I also read about using two different blacks for the eyes? Like liquid and powder, something or other like that.

got a girlfriend or a sister?

ask them about the black. i did black eyes like alice cooper style last two years black came out dark and good.

think it was just eyeliner.
but like black as...well... you understand.

as for the white... those tubes of white cream makeup, seems to go good.

takes a while to dry. but do it with your hands just as a base coat.

then, sponge. make it nice.

once its nice and permawhite, then you screw it all dirty.

and for the red. i just used a regular red makeup crayon thing from halloween store,
put red on after your happy with the collodion scars, and before the white.

then its not pink.

idk thats my ametuer go at it.
anyone who wants to help me out to go for it!! (i need it probably)

Well, that's a start. Yeah, I'm a complete noob at this really but wouldn't the red be the same type as the white? Idk, I thought it might be.

Ok well im sure everyone is different but what I do is this

apply rigid collodion first obviously, wait to dry then now im ading some liquid latex directly around the collodion to give raised effect and sealing the colodion as to not let it peel off as easily throughout the night

then i apply the white with a sponge by tapping all over BUT not around the lower sockets of eyes or where the scars are, Leave that flesh tone for now. ALSO Raise your eyebrows and squint constantly while applying the white as to not get as much in your natural wrinkles on forehead and around eyes and mouth/nose

Then i do the eyes filling in the basic part, then using a dull toothpick, i pull away some of the black down the sides of eyes and few places down cheek, BUT NOT SO FAR DOWN.

Then the scars/mouth with a deep dark application of red on the mouth and inner area of scars then with a smaller sponge i dab here and there around the scars, and since i didnt put any white near scars its not going to be PINK, then just use another dull toothpick and pull some red up your natural laugh lines from the scars.

Now grunge it up a bit and dig out some nice wrinkle lines if squinting didnt get the job done

And dont forget to white your ears.

hope that helps ya

Would you guys mind putting up the brand/type of makeup you're buying?

using all cream makeup i suppose ?

Just wanted to through out that the Joker Hair Spray works pretty well, even on my black hair.

Here's a photo showing all the stuff that I use for my own make-up...

The cream make-up is the cheap stuff you can buy at any Wal-Mart. I used the little tray of black for my eyes, but I've since run out and opted for the tubes of black similar to the white and honestly, it works better. I dust the white with baby powder to seal it up and make it crack after wearing it for a bit. You can find a little more detailed run down of how I did my own make-up at the link below...

But as Clint stated above, everyone goes about putting their make-up on different, so feel free to add your own personal touches here and there as you see fit!

All right, so I went to my local halloween shop today and a lady, who is a professional makeup artist apparently, chose out all the things I needed. She brought me white, black, and red Mehron fantasy fx makeup; Mehron rigid collodion; and Mehron colloset powder. Then I went along and I chose green hairspray. (She offered the wig but it doesn't interest me too much.) I then asked her to give me instructions on how to apply all of the stuff to my face. It was so much, I had to make her write it down. If you want, I'll type it out.

i've got my makeup down pretty solid but for everyone please do

I went to Wal-mart and bought rubies white and black cream make up and a set of make up crayons. Each were a dollar! :woot:

I've quickly tested the white cream and the red crayon and both gave pretty good results. I'll do a full make up trial tomorrow and give my final verdict.

Edit, i would actually avoid using a sponge to dab the white on with, i found it leaves tiny holes all over your face from the texture of the sponge so yea use your fingers to dab the white on, it doesnt take too long, dab a subtle white base coat then go back over with more thicker coat of white "here and there" to get the uneven effect and not the perfect permawhite face.

never used rigid collodion before but the results i've seen look good. I made joker scars for a friend using liquid latex and toilet paper. Just molded some playdoh to a good look for the chin and both side scars then painted layer by layer of latex and toilet paper.

also i dont like using spirit gum as it sometimes comes off easily I am using prosiade for my two face burns as well as for my reidns joker scars
