Best martial artist/hand to hand combatant in the M.U?

Now you all probably know who I'm going to say...and you'd be right!

Yea I think DP is one of the best hand to hand combatants in the M.U. But it isn't just bias, hear me out.

I've seen D.P hand Taskmaster his ass, more than once. Even Tasky himself admits that Wade is one of the best, but I suppose that's down to his erratic style. Taskmaster can't pick up on it.

He has also single handidly taken on The Hulk, and got the better of him, impaling him on a lamp post! And proved his skill (and insanity) by taking on Captain America, Hercules, Goliath, Falcon and Iron Fist (disguised as Daredevil) all on his own. He was getting the better of them as well, untill Cable showed up.

But enough about Deadpool, who do you guys think is the best martial artist/hand to hand combatant in the Marvel Universe?

I Would have to agree. It would be a good fight to see him take on Deadpool though. But in the end, Shang Chi, I would think, would prevail.

Personally, I'd say Captain America or Iron Fist. But I don't have much experience with Shang Chi.

Deadpool, I think, would be dead within five minutes in a fight against a master martial artist if he didn't have his healing factor. He takes much worse punishment than he gives out in about 90% of his fights. He's just unkillable, so it doesn't matter.

Black Panther is definitely up there, considering he can supposedly best Captain America. Captain America (Rogers) would be the next obvious choice.

Shang-Chi is probably among the best, although he has less interaction with mainstream Marvel heroes and villains than, say, Iron Fist who has proven himself time and again.

DareDevil has beaten so pretty big foes, including Ultron, Blackheart, Pyro, Blob, and even tried to stand up to the Hulk (unsuccessfully), though I'd classify him as a street brawler with a lot of luck on his side...especially when beating the big guns.

Karnak of course has an edge with his innate ability to sense weak points.

Thing does have a certain skill to his use of brute strength that seems unmatched by other super-strong Marvels.

Taskmaster and...sigh...Wolverine deserve mention.

Elektra or DD. Iron Fist is pretty good but he also has powers and that gives him an advantage that the DD and Elektra don't have.

I kinda want to say Elektra...

But DD is such a badass. Do you remember during Bendis' run when the Yakuza all surrounded him when he was still dressed as Murdock? BAD. ASS.

Yo, seriously. Am I the only one mentioning Daredevil or Elektra? They're the king and queen of badass. Either of them could beat Iron Fist and probably Shang Chi as well. Of course, Shang Chi never really does anything that badass so I don't really think he deserves to be a serious contender here.

For the record, Daredevil does actually have powers.

Doesn't really matter though, since in straight-up hand to hand, Shang Chi wins.

The reason everyone else is even close is because of superpowers, but Shang-Chi is the MASTER because of constant training. If Chi had even a fraction of say...Spider-Man powers...he'd be nigh unstoppable.

From what are you guys judging this? Because I just have never seen Shang Chi do anything as badass as oh say, what Elektra did in Wolverine: Enemy of the State where it's pretty much made official that Elektra is the deadliest ninja in the MU.

And okay, Matt Murdock has powers but it's not like they make him stronger or faster -- but even so he is one of the only people who can go toe to toe with Iron Fist or Elektra and still come out on top.

I really didn't see anything in that wiki article that tops Elektra and DD's many feats of badassitude.

The reason Taskmaster gets his ass handed to him by Deadpool is Taskys powers dont work on Deadpool because he is to crazy to get a read on him. I think he'd give the likes of Iron Fist and Shang-Chi more of a run for their money than many expect. I have zero experience with Shang-Chi, but Iron Fist certainly has some skill and is definitely one of the best.

Bottomline I think most are incinsistent and too much based on whos writing them. Cause Deadpool will get his ass kicked by Wolverine at one point but then they end up in a stalemate the next. If IF and SC have fights throughtout their history you'd probably see a different victor everytime.

I think DD and Elektra are more exposed than Chi,that's why we don't see many feats of "badassness". but as a fighter, he should rank top of the class with Elektra ranking a very close 2nd.
