Anyone remember.... I wanna say back in the late 80s early 90s when there was this surplus of Ninja movies and martial arts movies. Some were super cheesy but some were genuinely good movies. I'd love for those to make a comeback. One thing I'd love more than anything else is to see them spin Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow off into their own movies. Exploring their training and the history of their clan. If their was ever a character part of a franchise that just begs for a spin off its Snake- Eyes and his story . I would be first in line for a ticket. Anyone else miss those types of films ?

Definitely me! I love 'em! Have you tried Wu dang? I stumbled across it on Netflix and really loved it!

2. Way of the dragon
3. Game of death
4.kill bill
5. 13 assassins
6. The blind swordsman
7. Enter the ninja
8. Last samurai

American Ninja.
Best of the Best.
Anything with Jean Claude Van Damme in it.

Great days. Terrible films that I loved.

I just recorded Best of the Best the other day. I haven't seen in it in forever . Loved it and plan on watching it soon

Sho Kosugi was the ninja man. I still love Revenge of the Ninja. Cheesy and fun. Glad to see he came back for Ninja Assassin.

Can't forget Kung fu hustle either. What a classic

For late 80s/early 90s martial arts cheese, nobody can beat Jeff Speakman. Nobody.

i love mostly of the 1990 Jackie Chan movies i also liked the 3 ninja movies they were more family friendly but they were fun to watch

would crouching tiger hidden dragon 2 sword of destiny count ?? it is very good

One of the best ninja movies is THE HUNTED (1995) starring Christopher Lambert, John Lone, Joan Chen, Yoshio Harada, and Yôko Shimada. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113360/?ref_=nv_sr_2

I think many martial arts fans have passed this over due to the DVD cover....it shows Lambert with a gun....but the movie has some of the greatest ninja/samurai fights put on film.

If you're talking of all time my favorite Martial Arts films would be

1. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

2. Ip Man

3. Hero

4. Curse of The Golden Flower

5. Legend of The Drunken Master/Drunken Master 2

6. House of Flying Daggers

7. Fearless

8. Dragon Fist

9. Fist of Legend

10. Snake in Eagle's Shadow

Honorable mention: Kill Bill Volume 1

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky is a classic...but probably not for the reasons you want.

Anything with Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, & Jean Claude VanDanme.

Countless hours watching Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damm, Bruce Lee and others growing up. Still love a good Ninja and or Samurai film though they seem slim these days.

I don't watch nearly as much as I should. But the ones I am most fond of are:

A Touch of Zen. A beautifully photographed, dark, moody epic and parable.

Dragon Inn. Terrific screenplay, slick, tense.

Come Drink With Me. Another wuxia that transcends its genre with superbly stylized action.

Hero. Extremely well acted and shot, moving historical epic and love story.

House of Flying Daggers. Humorous and surprising at every turn.
