For me the best Marvel movie this year is the Avengers. Second is the Amazing Spider-Man. Third is Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

You can't be serious? Avengers slaughters the competition here. Ghost Rider: SOV as a contender? Seriously?

Obviously The Avengers. It is like asking what's the best Jaws movie.

The Avengers, and it's not even close.

LOL!

It's such an obvious choice.
Amazing Spider-man was just OK, and this last Ghost Rider movie could actually be the worst Marvel film of all time.

With Thor, First Class and Cap, Marvel had an overall better year last year in my opinion.

Avengers of course.

And I'll admit I still can't put my fingers what bothers me about ASM, but it bothers me a lot. I can't stand the reboot. I actually enjoyed GR way more, if only for Cages insane performance and the ridiculessness of the whole film.

Avengers could arguably be the best superhero film of ALL TIME, let alone this year. Hands down, no contest.

The Avengers, no contest. It's also possibly the greatest Marvel film of all time. TASM was good, but it left me with a "been there, done that" feeling. Still haven't seen Ghost Rider yet.

With Thor, First Class and Cap, Marvel had an overall better year last year in my opinion.
Maybe 2011 was better critically. Thor, XFC and Cap got solid reviews across the board for the most part, though everyone does seem to dig The Avengers. But financially? 2012 is a wayyyyyy better year for them with The Avengers alone.

It's almost a tie between Avengers and Spidey, but simply going down to cheers and applause that I and fellow audience gave, Avengers wins this.

I find it adorable the poll maker was nice enough to include Ghost Rider 2.

Avengers easily.

Amazing Spider-Man was above average but it didn't really have an impact on me.

Yeah I agree! Avengers and ASM were good movies but I didn't love them compare to First Class and Thor.

Avengers and followed by ASM, of course. GRSOV should be a nominee for the Razzies.

The Amazing Spider-man.

Sorry, I know it's all personal opinion, but I couldn't resist.

This thread does kind of make me chuckle though that GR: SOV would even be mentioned with these other too. Personally I think Avengers is the far superior film to both, but ASM at least was a serious effort. GR:SOV was a B-movie at best, it's the type of movie you'd see on the SyFy channel.

Oh no. It was a matter of fact.

You're not really funny.

As for the poll question, since I think The Avengers is the greatest CBM of all time, there's no contest.

The Avengers was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than The Amazing Spider-Man. In pretty much every aspect possible.

This is not even a contest, Avengers was the best by far, in every aspect.

Avengers of course.

And I'll admit I still can't put my fingers what bothers me about ASM, but it bothers me a lot. I can't stand the reboot. I actually enjoyed GR way more, if only for Cages insane performance and the ridiculessness of the whole film.

What bothered me about the reboot is it felt like I had seen it all before. All the components were a notch better than previous films, but we had seen it all before. Peter is a nerd in school, then Peter bit by a radiocative spider, Peter showing off a little for the kids who previously picked on him, Peter developing a romance, Peter having an uncomfortable meal, Peter spending time with Uncle Ben and Aunt May, Uncle Ben dispensing sage advice but then being killed as a result of Peter not following his sage advice, Peter develops a relationship with a brilliant scientist, brilliant sientist experiments with things beyond his control and the experiment turns him inexplicably bad, Spider-man battles brilliant scientist, when Peter is having a rough time, citizens jump in to help, Peter reveals his idendity to far too many people. . .

If you're going to do a reboot, I think it should at least break some new ground. That film was like cinematic paint-by-numbers.
