Now officially at the end of the 90's(though you can say the culture/vibe lasted until about 2002), what's your favourite movie from this year?

THE MATRIX. I still haven't had a theater experience like that since.

I think 1994 and 1999 were the best years for film in the 90's. Incredible stuff came out those years!

No Office Space? Life gets a nod but not Office Space?

Clearly Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace is the best movie!!!

I don't hate the Phantom Menace. Attack of the Clones, however...

Iron Giant gets no love, but Life does!

Strike two!

Of the films in the poll, Toy Story 2. However, The Iron Giant is the best film in a year that also includes Audition, Girl on the Bridge, The Harmonium in My Memory, Memento Mori, New Waterford Girl, Not One Less, Poppoya, The Road Home, Shiri, Three Kings, Virgin Suicides. Really, really good year.

Even better than '97?

Much. Except for Mononoke, Perfect Blue, and a few others, '99 has that year beat.

Indeed, very good years.

The Matrix got my vote here. One of my favourite movies.

I voted for The Mummy, but I love Toy Story 2. Disney's Tarzan should be on that list as well.
