Wasn't the first Matrix trailer shown during the Superbowl? That trailer is over 2 minutes long, therefore not a Superbowl commercial.

I love that trailer, haven't seen it in years. I got goosebumps when they showed the bullet-dodging at the end.

The movie was s#!t, but the trailer about trailers for Hitchhiker's Guide was pure awesome.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it for everybody that's going to post it. Whenever I think best trailer, the theatrical trailer to Spider-Man 2 comes to mind. Though it may not be the best of all-time, it definitely is one of the best trailers ever made:



What also comes to mind is the 300 theatrical trailer. Everything about it is perfection:

Great idea for a thread. I agree with the mention of Spider-man 2. That was a great trailer.

Another one that sticks in my mind, even though the movie royally sucked, was the original teaser trailer for Troy. Mainly that reveal of all the ships with that great music. Gave me chills when I first saw it.


The teaser trailer for Independence Day is ingrained in my memory forever, too:

Spider-Man 3 has one of my favorite teaser trailers. It sucks that it didn't deliver like it's teaser trailer did, but oh well. Here it goes:
