HALFWAY THROUGH THE YEAR!

I'd make it a poll, but I figure I'd leave too many out as this is really hard to do.

But rank the movies you've seen (or just your favorites) this year.

Mine (I haven't seen a lot) go:

1. Waitress
2. Black Snake Moan
3. Hot Fuzz
4. Spider-Man 3
5. Seraphim Falls
6. Grindhouse
7. POTC: AWE
8. Shrek the Third
9. 300
10. Ghost Rider (this was really bad!)

I wish I'd seen more though like Zodiac.

I go to the theaters less and less these days, So I end up seeing most of these films later in the year on dvd

In order of how much I enjoyed them:

1. Grindhouse
2. Spider-Man 3
3. POTC 3
4. 300
5. ATHF: MFFT
6. Black Snake Moan
7. Shrek the Third

In order of how good the movies are:

1. Grindhouse
2. Black Snake Moan
3. Spider-Man 3
4. 300
5. POTC 3
6. Shrek the Third
7. ATHF: MFFT

1. 28 Weeks Later
2. Spider-Man 3
3. Pirates of Caribbean: At Worlds End
4. 300
5. Planet Terror
6. Smokin Aces
7. Alpha Dog
8. Black Snake Moan

That's actually every movie I've seen this year in theatres. My worst movie of 2007 goes to Death Proof. Probably top 2 for worst movies I've ever seen.

Only 300 (7 out of 10) :(

2007 looks like the biggest disappointments so far (well, the situation can be changed, only if TF, Bourne 3 and Harry Potter 5 will sureprise me) :down

I thought Death Proof was much better than Planet Terror. Seriously? Besides they really are part of one movie. And even if you hated Death Proof (though hating that and liking Planet Terror makes no sense to me, personally) it is in no way among the two worst movies that have ever been made or even seen by anyone. I mean you did see 300 this year too...

Am I the only one who thought 300 was a big bag of disappointment and empty CGI?

300, sm3 and GR are some of the worst films I've seen this year:(

Well in my area Pan's Labyrinth released in late January so That would definitely have to be the best film I've seen in the last 5 years hands down

So far we've gotten nothing great, very mediocre offerings as far as the big three blockbusters are concerned and of course ghost rider wasn't much to really go crazy over though I don't think it deserved such a severe backlash.

Give it a few months and people will forget what we've gotten so far even exist.

Anyway I predict Transformers and Potter will be the most memorable when they come out and show us how movies should be made.

The second group was just too unsympathetic as victims and extremely annoying as heroines. I wanted them to die so much. Maybe I just hate girl power.

1. 300.
2. The Prestige
3. Hot Fuzz.
4. Shooter.

My favorites:

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (I enjoyed it most, it wasn't the best)
2. Spider-Man 3
3. Grindhouse
4. 300
5. Knocked Up (this was the best)
6. Hot Fuzz
7. Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters
8. TMNT
9. Shrek the Third (fairly average movie, didn't love it or hate it)
10. Reno 911 Miami

The worst so far:

1. Norbit
2. Norbit
3. Norbit
4. Norbit
5. Norbit
6. Norbit
7. Norbit
8. Norbit
9. Epic Movie
10. Ghost Rider

Norbit sucked. I regret seeing it.

I don't understand why people would say "i enjoyed it most, but it wasn't the best", surely a film that excels in all fields is more enjoyable?

1. 300
2. Pirates of the Caribbean
3. Grindhouse
4. Shrek 3
I'm not even gonna rank Spider-man 3 until 2007 is over with, but I know it will be at or near the bottom.

Well, it's kind of hard to explain. I guess I can put it this way. "The Godfather" is the best film I've ever seen. Perfect cast, directing, story, everything checked off across the boards. However, my favorite film of all time is "Star Wars". That movie isn't really what I'd consider to be a perfect film, but it is my favorite because I enjoyed the hell out of it. I had more fun watching it. It's more fun to watch spaceships in a dogfight than watch a bunch of old guys speaking Italian. However, it doesn't mean the movie is better.

For example, the best movie I saw in 2004 was "Million Dollar Baby". However, my favorite movie that year was "Spider-Man 2". "Spider-Man 2" was not a better film than "Million Dollar Baby", but I had more fun watching it.

Do you kind of understand my point?

yes, although i disagree with your examples, I find the films I consider the 'best' are my most enjoyable and favourites.

I can't remember all the movies I saw so far. I think this is all of them.

Hot Fuzz
Pan's Labyrinth
Grindhouse
300
Zodiac
Children of Men
Spider-Man 3
Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End
The Lookout
Blades of Glory

I've only 2 movies released in 2007 (Grindhouse, 300) and I enjoyed both. They get a 8/10.

best rated movies I want to see:

1) Knocked Up (92% fresh)
2) Hot Fuzz (89% fresh)
3) The Lookout (88% fresh)
4) Zodiac (87% fresh)
5) 28 Weeks Later (71% fresh))

Hostel Part 2 is next for me, which is tonight. And Knocked Up tomorrow night, which should be a fantastic movie.

Spider-Man 3
300
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
28 Weeks Later
Vacancy

I haven't seen Grindhouse, and I really want to see that and Ghost Rider. But those five are my first favorites, so far in the '07.

The Lookout was a nice little surprise. There wasn't anything groundbreaking from it, but the film was just executed so well. And Joseph Gordan-Levitt was excellent in his role.

1.300
2.TMNT
3.Shooter
4.BLades of Glory
5. tie POTC 3 and Spiderman 3
