Personally, I felt REALLY remiss in not listing books like Maus, Lone Wolf and Cub, Sin City, V For Vendetta, Batman: Year One, and some others.
Personally, though, I'd say Kraven's Last Hunt wasn't nearly as good or groundbreaking as any of the books above.
Basically mini, maxi, graphic novel. Maybe something like Hush...which - while it happens in the pages of an ongoing - is very self-contained.Oh, I definately agree, and Maus (and the little know Persepolis) came to mind. I wasn't sure of the parameters of "self-contained" Does that mean limited series, or one-shots, or storylines within an ongoing? I'd have to disagree about Kraven though. Outside of Watchmen, and DKR, (and MAYBE Marvels just because of the pretty pictures), I would put KLH right up there.
That seals my vote; Ultimates. It's sickening that Ultimates is almost tied with Watchmen. Ultimates is good, don't get me wrong, but it's just not in the same league as Watchmen.
Essentially due to it having the characteristics of a limited series. While it may be an ongoing, with it ending ever 13 issues and restarting again, it's little more than a series of limited series.hows ultimates self contianed?
Which do you think is the best?none of the above
Which do you think is the best?
Oh no, I mean, outside of the list, what do you think is the best?of those, probably either Marvels or the New Frontier
