Best/Worst Movie Title Names: What Would You Rename Them Tread

X-Men Origins: Wolverine should've just been Wolverine.

 

Just about any movie with a subtitle should just drop the subtitle

then what you name all those harry potter,star wars,POTC,and lord of the ring films

just a number after title lol

 

Not saying I hate the title, but I would rename Batman Begins to The Dark Knight Begins. Just so it matches the other two in the trilogy. Actually, this could work as well for the trilogy:

The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Falls
The Dark Knight Rises


I would also rename Rambo (2008) to Rambo IV and Rocky Balboa to Rocky VI.

I tend to agree. Although, I still think Iron Man 2 should have been Iron Man 2.0.

 

I'm being nitpicky, I know, but personally I tend to when movie franchises with sequels end up being inconsistent with their own titling/numbering system...like how the first Rambo movie was called "First Blood", then the next one was "Rambo: First Blood, Part II", and then the third one was just "Rambo III"; or how we went from "Jaws 2" to the Roman-numeraled "Jaws III" in the broadcast version of J3D, and then skipped the numbers entirely with "Jaws: The Revenge" (though I concede that the Jaws "franchise", such as it is, is an easy target to pick apart on multiple fronts); or for that matter, going from "Alien" to "Aliens" to "Alien3" to "Alien Resurrection".

And I'm talking about ONGOING inconsistency...I mean, after "Raiders" the rest of the Indy movies at least stuck to "Indiana Jones And The..."; the pre-Abrams "Star Trek" movies ditched the numbers only when the NextGen cast took over as their focus; and of course, there was always "Whatever's Happening This Time On The Planet Of The Apes" and "Godzilla vs. Insert Space Invasion Force's Giant Pet's Name Here". But I digress. t:

Killing Them Softly should have still been Coogan's Trade

The original titles have a unique and interesting feel to them. The current titles just sound bland and boring.

 

The Doors should have been The Lizard King since it was about Jim's antics, be they real or created for the movie (such as Jim locking Pam in a closet and setting the room on fire).

 

To quote True Romance, "Boy, that's original. I have more taste in my penis."

 

What about Halloween III: Season Of The Witch? That one should have dropped the Halloween III and just been called Season Of The Witch
