Hocus Pocus

- A Disney comedy but a genuine horror movie in places with some really dark scenes and admirable attention to history
- The sequence of Sarah Jessica Parker enchanting the kids of Salem by singing, "Come little children, I'll take thee away...." is great and really classic witch-like stuff.
- The best family Halloween movie ever
- Almost starred Leonardo DiCaprio
- The romantic interest later played a hooker in Eyes Wide Shut
- I know too much about this movie

I know I am in the minority, but I liked the first Blair Witch movie. The second one was stupid though.

Wizard

A wizard (from 'wise') is a practitioner of magic, especially in folklore, fantasy fiction, and fantasy role-playing games. In popular use in 16th century England it was used to denote a helpful male folk magican, a cunning man as they were usually called, and the male equivalent of a witch.The word does not generally apply to Neopagans, or to stage magicians (properly termed illusionists) like David Copperfield, Paul Daniels, or James Randi.

Now I'll have to puzzle out which "Wizard" movies that haven't made the list should be included.

I'm sure that there are some King Arthur/Merlin type movies that would qualify.

The Witches is a fairly good witch movie, starring Anjelica Huston.

There is one romantic comedy witch movie in the fifties called Bell, Book and Candle, which starred Jimmy Stewart. It was nominated for Oscars, so I suppose it's good.

Gillian Holroyd is just your average, modern-day, witch, living in a New York apartment with her Siamese familiar, Pyewacket. But one day a handsome publisher, Shep Henderson walks into her building and Gillian decides she wants him--especially as it turns out he's marrying Merle Kittridge, an old poison penpal from Gillian's college days. So, Gillian casts a spell over Shep. But her powers are in danger of being exorcised by something stronger than the bell-book-and-candle routine: Love.
