The Avengers Betty Ross in The Avengers

Just wondering if any of you think Betty Ross will be in the movie. If she is, do you think Liv Tyler will return or will the role be recast?

I think it's unlikely any of the love interests will make their way into the Avengers for both time and financial reasons.

If she's in there, I hope it's a recast. I did not like Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. Jennifer Connelly was much closer to the comic book Betty IMO.

I think it might make sense for her to be there, as she's the only thing that could really control the Hulk.

I think it would probably be more appropriate to have Gen. Ross in Avengers than Betty, though I could see a cameo being a possibility. In my opinion, it would make sense to have Fury and Ross formulating a plan of defense against the main villian.

He did make a handsome woman when he dressed in the robes to sneak in to save Inara during the Serenity film!!!!


Betty Ross did have a big role in the Ultimate Avengers animated DVD. If they use Hulk to attack the Avengers, they may need her to save the day and calm him down. Liv Tyler was great in IH and William Hurt was perfect. I hope they use them if they go in that direction.

No! Johnny Depp! Whenever I read Nathan Fillions name I imagine it as Nathan Fillet-Mingon.

I'm not so sure that she and Ruffalo would be able to pull off on-screen chemistry as good as her's and Norton's, but that concern is outweighed by my not being able to accept another damn recast. I really liked her in TIH, and I hope she does come back.
