Beverly Hills Cop IV- Will it help or hurt Eddies career?

This project has been in development for quite sometime and Eddie has expressed interest in reprising his chacractor pending a decent script. I'm a big fan or the series and will welcome another installment if done right. I think that eddie needs this movie to get back to the darker eddie that we all came to love. Lately he's been stuck in family fair and his last two films (Meet Dave & Imagine That) didn't do him any favors. Would you guys be up for another Hills Cop and do you think it will cause his career to sink or swim?

Nah. This is bad news.

First of all, ALL sequels made more than ten years after the last installment are crap.

Secondly, in spite of what some people think, it's not like Beverly Hills Cop is some sort of perfect trilogy. Here's the reality: One enjoyable, if a little out-of-date movie, one boring but, i guess, watchable movie, one TERRIBLE movie.

Thirdly, it's gonna be directed by Bret Ratner. Nuff said.

To an entire generation, these days, Murphy is NOT the angry, razor sharp, mainstream break-through voice of black America.
He's Donkey. Sad but true.

The idea of Axel STILL running around after all these years... It makes me feel bad for the original incarnation of the character. The one we all dug in the first place, I kinda figured he'd be with someone and happily approaching retirement by now.

The only way Eddie will get his career back is to pull a Robin Williams and do another Raw, foul and filthy like he was when he was great. Then he needs to lay off the kiddie movies for ... ever! Instead look for some deeper roles. Maybe a little Travolta - Pulp Fiction film. Anything. Beverly Hills Cop 4? Not gonna' be that movie, but I've been wrong before. They're obviously going to make it, so let's see if they do it right.

hes delirious and raw is one of the best stand ups that i saw .
