The new CGI Batman show that will continue once Batman the Brave & the Bold concludes in US has been confirmed as "Beware the Batman" Courtesy of World's Finest & DC Nation

The next Batman animated series, debuting in 2013, is titled Beware the Batman. According to Register, the CGI animated series will spotlight a classic looking Batman teaming up with a gun-toting Alfred Pennyworth and a female ninja sidekick. Beware the Batman is executive-produced by Glen Murakami, and will also explore the mythology’s more obscure villains, such as Professor Pyg, alongside mainstays such as The Joker and The Penguin. In the series, Batman will team up with a younger female sidekick named Katana. During the keynote, Register added the sidekick is “kind of Robin, but not really.”
So instead of Cassandra Cain they went with Katana? Okay... >_>

Also for the lovely little Bronys out there, you might be interested to hear the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, they will also do DC girl related shorts:
the creator behind My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic creating a series of animated shorts teaming Wonder Girl, Batgirl, Supergirl called “Super Best Friends Forever,”
Other short animations and clay animations include:
Highlights include Aardman Animation creating new claymation Batman shorts, Plastic Man animated shortsand there is also a series of Doom Patrol animated shorts in production. The block will also host a series of behind-the-scenes videos, special interviews, and much more.

Why is Alfred toting a gun? Isnt that the complete opposit of the entire POINT of Batman?

Well, there was that one time Alfred was guarding the Bat-Cave with a Shotgun in that issue of Superman/Batman.

Batman's got the thing against Guns. Alfred? Not so much. :o

I didn't like the sound of Brave and the Bold when that was first announced. Than I came to love it as the show progressed. But this... gun toting Alfred? Katana as his sidekick? CGI? I got a bad feeling about this. Why not just give us a Batman and Batgirl show?

I think I'm looking forward to the claymation shorts more than this new show.

I wish they would just use the Young Justice animation.

However a CGI show wouldnt be bad. However again, the animation doesnt look good for this

It looks like the same people that made that Firebreather movie. Looks a bit like Batman's old school look. Back when he had the purple gloves.

I don't know. We'll see.

I'll give it a shot but so far I don't like the sound of it. Batman teaming up with some ninja girl and Alfred is a gunman that works with Batman? I know these people want to be original and all but sometimes being original isn't necessarily a good thing.

I've never seen a bad Batman animated series. Even The Batman which I didn't like at first, got good later on. I'm sure this will be no different.

Will this be on along with Brave and the Bold?

the desing is horrible. looks even uglier than The Batman :vomit:

Only good thing about this is Prof Pyg! Scary as **** villains are the best :D

Alfred's always used guns. He's the only member of the Batfamily that Bruce allows to.

Don't doubt Pennyworth, he's a badass.

Ah okay then :)

But still...him beside Bats on missions? No no no, do not like this one bit :csad:

That's a pretty horrfically ugly design.

agree.

James Tucker was announced as the producer of the new Batman series at ComiCon two summers ago. Based on the look and synopsis, I now understand why he's no longer attached to the show.

Love ya James- wish that you, and not Sam Register, were in charge of all things Batman at WB Animation.

His head shape is really odd to me.

I wonder if Alfred will be cut like the Earth One version.

...this looks, and sounds, atrocious.

Too bad we couldn't have had James Tucker's series: http://superheroshows.blogspot.com/2010/04/evolution-of-batman-and-robin-batmans.htmlhttp://kizer180.deviantart.com/art/Dark-Knights-253715796?q=boost:popular meta:all max_age:8h&qo=15 :csad:

I really can't get over how bad that character design looks. The head makes Batman look like he has Down's syndrome.

And my pleas for a darker/more-dramatic animated series continue to go ignored.
