Bill Cosby is a rapist

I don't need to be sympathic because i'm a woman. The things i described have been documented time and time again. They are facts. Facts, in and itself, are gender neutral.

They're documented, sure. But the numbers are still low.

I just find it odd that in a thread about a serial rapist, you bring up the scrutiny that men feel when they report a rape. I guess I'm just wondering why you felt the need to bring it up. It's as if you're trying to undermine female rape and rape victims by saying men get raped, too. We know this. It isn't the issue in this thread.

Post #132 on the previous page is the one who brought male rape into the conversation not me..if you'd actually read what people are posting, instead of commenting off of impulse.

Now that i've done the ground work for you and literally pointed out that i'm not the one who 'felt the need to bring it up'……how does me 'adding to the converation about male rape' undermine female rape? Should one gender be ignored in a conversation about the topic of rape? I know male rape did not occur in the Cosby cases..as far as we know……..but for the past few pages there has been a general discussion of the subject..and correct me if i'm wrong, but both men and women are victimized by rape. It's vile act. Hell, even the mere sound of the word makes my skin crawl.

You seem to have a real problem with people whose opinion is different than that of your own. I guess that's the internet for you. At the end of the day it's just an opinion. Everyone has opinions. Somtimes that opinion may not mesh with your opinion. Hell, opinions don't even have to be based on facts, because they are opinions. So if you're getting butt hurt over another person's opinion maybe you should stop reading that person's opinion.

Ooh, someone is snarky. I like your use of italics for the word "opinion."

I guess the problem with your opinion is that it's not based in fact or supported by evidence, but just your personal assumptions about a subject. Which kind of makes it irrelevant. Like when you claimed that none of the women were ever tested for STDs because they didn't mention it in the interviews. It's crap like that that makes it hard to take your opinions seriously. You can't even back up your claims.

 ……..

And that's why I don't take yours seriously. You claim I have a problem with people who have different opinions than me. I don't. As long as they can back up their opinions, it's a debate. Your opinions aren't even worth debating because they're out to lunch.

Opinions based on personal taste don't have to be backed up by facts, but any other type of opinion certainly should be.

Here, I googled in for you. I swear, people conveniently forget how to use the internet when it suits their liking:

o·pin·ion

noun

"a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge."

"the beliefs or views of a large number or majority of people about a particular thing."

"an estimation of the quality or worth of someone or something"

So...you're admitting that when you said that none of the women were tested for STDs, you actually have no factual basis for that claim? That is was merely your "opinion?"

Good to know. Thanks. I'll be sure to completely disregard anything you say in the future.

I didn't say opinions could never be backed by facts, I said they should be, unless they're a matter of personal taste. Opinions not backed by facts run a high risk of being completely ignorant.

So that video message released today. Yeah, he did it.

This monster is still doing live shows? People should be rioting. Unbelievable.

No.

However, if I had purchased a ticket prior to any of the victims speaking out, I would try to get a refund. Even if that refund were not granted, I'd just not go (because I wouldn't find a way to enjoy the show, knowing what we know now). People who paid their own money for a show can do whatever they want, though. "Innocent until proven guilty," and all that jazz.

id go to the show just to see all the reactions.

I went to his show a week or so after the accusations. It was early on, but there was nothing different than if there were no accusations.

I'd go but spend the whole time analyzing his behaviors and looking for his dark side

Chelsea Handler Says She Was Almost One of Bill Cosby's Victims
I was in Atlantic City playing, doing stand-up, and he was doing stand-up in Atlantic City in the same hotel, and at like three o’clock in the afternoon, someone from the hotel came down and said, 'Oh, you know, Mr. Cosby would really like to meet you up in his hotel suite.' And I thought, That’s really weird. This was like ten years ago. And I said, That’s really weird. I don’t want to go alone. I go, I don’t know him. So the three guys I was with—thank God these guys were with me….Then my friend texted me the other day saying, 'Do you remember that night we went up to, or that afternoon we went up to Bill Cosby’s and you were so freaked out you made us come with you?' And I said, Yeah, and he said, 'Hello! You could’ve been one of his victims if we weren’t there.' And I went, 'Oh my gosh …' Yeah, so yeah, he’s guilty.

Anyone else see her doing this as attention ****e-y, lame, and stupid

There is something a bit off-putting about it. I mean, if something had actually happened or if she had any sort of legitimate piece of evidence in this regard, fine, speak your mind. But "So my friend called me up and reminded me of a few years ago when I almost went up to his room, so he TOTALLY did it!!!" I don't know. On one hand, a person of her stature shining a light on this man and the kinds of things he does is a good thing, but it does feel a bit... odd.

Heckler to Cosby: "Tell the One About How to Get Away With Rape"

znj5yeslzaoupje2kfkm.jpg

With two more women coming forward Friday to accuse Bill Cosby of rape, the total number of sexual assault allegations against the famed comedian is nearing 40. He's still performing, but not without getting heckled at every turn.

At his Baltimore show Friday night, it took just 15 minutes before a protester shouted at Cosby about his many, many alleged crimes, the Baltimore City Paper reported. They posted a video of the encounter, showing a guy later identified as Michael Crook hollering "38 women called you a rapist!" and "Tell the one about how to get away with rape."

The crowd was on Cosby's side, and he told them to "remain calm" while they waited for security to escort Crook out of the building.

"We are here to enjoy my gift," he said. "We are not here to argue. Let those people speak. We will find them and ask them to leave."

On Friday, a woman named Margie Shapiro said Cosby took her to a Playboy Mansion guest house when she was 19, and challenged her to a game of pinball where the loser had to take a pill. She said she lost, took the pill, and blacked out.

"I am going to handle this the way I want it handled," Cosby said onstage later that night, responding to Crook's heckling, "I'm going to tell you some more jokes."
