I was just wondering if there is a scientific reason that nearly all the time in situations in a car, at home, the work place, etc... Women always seem to get cold while men are either comfortable or in fact to warm.

Is there a reason for this generalization taking place?

That's strange, but I've noticed it too. I think it must be the mystical energies or something? Like, men are from mars, and women are from venus. But, mars is colder and venus is warmer, so maybe the fact that women are the opposite of men means that we get the warmer feelings while women get the colder ones!

I've heard their veins are thinner or something like that . Someone has tried to explain it before. I do know women being colder has proven to be true with any girl i've dated or hung out with.

Yeah anytime I've had a job, any girlfriend I ever had, my wife, female family members, etc...

Always colder. Guys are always warmer.

I remember times at work where all the guys would be sweating and complaining of the heat, and the women would be complaining how cold it is. The men would be like wtf  Complete opposites.

Percentage wise women have more fat to muscle ratio then men. More muscle equals more heat generated, therefore the less muscle mass the less heat generated. Moreover, women, in general, have a higher surface to volume ratio (determining heat generation/displacement, respectively), which means the smaller you are the colder you are. This plays a big role muscle wise.

Those are the major reasons, others are: vascular constrictions thresholds, hormonal changes during menstruation.

i've heard that in a slightly cold surrounding a womans body concentrates the blood circulation around the organs which are important for reproduction thus their limbs get cold. Prove me wrong if you dare:hehe:

I'm always warm...
When I go work out, I'm drenched in sweat by the end, but I notice some guys don't even break a sweat...
I guess there are different degrees of how hot you are...and I'm smoldering.

Correctomundo, woman circulate there blood around there internal organs when they are cold, it makes there arms and legs cold but there is less chance of them dying, where as men send more blood to there extremities, which keeps them slightly warmer, but gives them a higher chance they will freeze to death, :o
