The Avengers Bits you missed/ can't remember/ couldn't hear

I could hear this fine, but could someone answer this question for me? When the guy on the bridge is talking to Fury as the SHIELD carrier is being overtaken, Fury responds with "Is the sun coming up? Then put it on the LEFT!"

I might be thinking too hard on this remark but what does it mean exactly?

Fury wanted the helicarrier moved to over water in case they dropped but the guy said their navigational system was still rebooting. Fury was saying to use the sun's position to fix a course manually. If it was morning and the sun was coming up, Fury wanted it on their left, meaning the Helicarrier would then be moving in a more southerly direction.

He was telling him which way to turn to get over water.

The joke is that the guy is so dependent on technology he doesn't know how to navigate without the computer. And Fury is saying all you have to do is look out the window.

Oh, ok. Thanks. I was trying to see what the joke was since he said it in such a sarcastic manner and making the guy seem like an idiot almost.

I've seen the movie 5 times now and only once was I able to hear this line because it was a weekday evening and not many people in the theater. Every other time, everyone was laughing and you couldn't hear it at all:

Loki: How will your friends have time for me when they are busy fighting you?

<touches his staff to Stark's chest, nothing happens. Does it a 2nd time, still nothing happens>

Loki: Hmmm, this usually works.

Stark: Well, you know, performance issues. (this is when everyone laughs so you can't hear) Happens quite often. One in five, actually.

Ha, I had that problem too. I heard 'performance issues' a bit but it was always drowned out with the laughter for the 2nd poke & 'This usually works.'

hey, something that i noticed and thought important and have mantioned several times here with no response, The dagger with Thor's blood at Stark Tower. Perhaps it's one of those Marvel things , a hint of things to come. Ragnarok! Thor's clone on a rampage that only the Avengers can handle? It would be damn cool.

That. Would be pretty awesome.

What exactly did Iron Man attach to that cable under water? I am guessing it was some sort of contraption to disconnect Stark Tower from the power grid..? Or was it the arc-reactor? Or both? lol

I think it was supposed to be a minature arc reactor, something similar to what you saw in the first movie except it powers up the Tower.

I'm fairly certain the device pulled the Stark tower off the main grid. I say this because after that scene Stark says something along the lines of "Power it up" and it shows Pepper looking at a real time status screen of a big arc reactor in the tower. The image looked very similar to large reactor we saw in IM1 during the Stark/Obediah poker face scene.

I wish Iron Man used his underwater armour for that scene. It would've been a nice cameo. Sure, his regular armour might be able to withstand the depths, but I like the speciality armours too, and when else is he going to get to use them? It would've been a nice nod to the fans.

After Stark jokingly mentions to Bruce about the bag of weed the laughter kind've made it hard to hear what Captain America said to which he says "no offense doctor".

^ I could make out a bit of what Cap said I just don't see how that would be offensive to Banner.

Cap, being the nice guy he is, didn't want Banner to feel bad because he makes so much damage when he turns into the Hulk. His way of saying - I know you are extremely dangerous but I don't hold it against you.

After banner calls the team a time bomb, what exactly does fury say?

What was said about Jane, and where she was?

Just seemed very improbable that Thor made it back to Earth (when it seemed it would be impossible) and he didn't at least think about trying to see her. I understand he didn't exactly have any free time to spare, but at least a mention of an attempt to see her would have been more realistic.

What exactly does Bruce scream out to Natasha as he's transforming for the first time?

After Natasha is saying "I swear on my life I will get you out of this..." Does he say "Get a life!"?

Thank you sir! ;) I figured somebody asked already :oldrazz:

watched it like .... 3 times now... im in love with movies again :D

okay so sadly the bit i missed since im in bangladesh was the 2nd post credit scene. but i guess i knw abt it pretty much. i couldnt hear what Loki was telling Romanov during their "interrogation." She asks him to spare Burton, loki laughs at her for wanting to save one guy while he's out to destory the world -- but what was Romanov offering in exchange? or was it NOT qud pro quo? Also, what did Loki say that made her go "you monster" and he says "no you're the monsters" ?

audio was terrible :( (yes even after three times, this was the bit that i cudnt get).
