Black Holes, No More...

Not well I'd assume. But really all he's saying is there isn't an event horizon that light can't escape. Not that there aren't black holes.

But I doubt many are going to agree with even that point.

Ive read that there is supposed to be a large satelite going online in a few years or less that will be pointed at the center of our galaxy to determine if the possible supermassive black hole there has an event horozon and whether black holes as we think of them even exist at all. Thats where this is coming from. Black holes may be a staple of physics, but they are not yet fully proven.

so the giant hole of nothing doesn't exist cause once something enters it becomes nothing and nothing can't be something?

The event horizon is what the "black hole" is, the region of space from which nothing can return.

The "substance" of the black hole, the actual physical object is a singularity.

But yeah, I wouldn't expect many to take it massively seriously. Like when he came up with his hypothesis as to why information isn't destroyed in a black hole.

I do wonder. If that satellite goes to the galactic center, will it find "god"? "You don't ask the Almighty for his ID!"

That Star Trek 5 was made is proof that there is no god. :(
