Video of Terence Crutcher's police shooting may be "the worst we've seen" yet

Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, released video and audio clips Monday from the fatal shooting of Terence Crutcher, a stranded and unarmed black motorist. The clips, captured from multiple angles on Friday, show the 40-year-old Crutcher with his hands up before he is stunned with a stungun and then shot by Tulsa officers.

Warning: Graphic video in the link.

We'll see how this turns out...

Just saw it. I have no words....

Un f*****g believable. And people wonder why the police get so much hate...kmt!!!

Stuff like this just blows my mind. I get a bunch of right wing friends on FB who happen to be cops, always complaining about the police hate and playing victim. But they never stop to ask themselves why that is. Hate like this don't happen out of thin air. All they have to do is watch this video, and try explain to me how the cops are the victims in all this.

I understand there are good cops, and bad cops, just as there are good people and bad people of any race. For either side to blame everything on one opposing group is just acting out of emotions. But please don't play the victim defending your entire group when there is ample evidence (like this video) of shady stuff happening.

Gee more footage of panicky-trigger-happy shoot-first ask later/never cops.
Looks like instead of complying they instead thought he was reaching for something and shot!

Despite no gun emerging, it's how they are trained to react, so yeah they will get off.

People are defending this. Its is just... you know.

Tasering was more than sufficient. He's down, subdue him. Boom.

Apparently it's starting to turn into a sexist issue as well, how they shouldn't be out on patrol since the firing officer is a woman

There's always going to be people who deflect things away from the issue at hand.

Defending?

Where?

Or do you mean pointing out why they'll get off?

I've seen comments posted on Facebook under a news article publication. They're saying he wasn't following instructions, demonstrating non-compliant behavior, and that it looked like he was reaching for something once he was getting close to the driver's door.

You know, same ol' arguments.

Tragic!
Nothing can justify it.
Yet you want to see how they "justify" it
Go to a police training course.
You do know that is what they will "argue" he wasn't shot with his hands up as the media is reporting, but while non-compliant reaching for something into his car. And that is why the officer will get off right.
That will be the "defense" of the shooting.

How are they training these people?

I think the training, procedures and recruitment needs a look at in certain areas.

Many of these unarmed shootings seem avoidable of they address the things I mentioned.

It's all part of the plan.

Instead of this being about a murder of a person complying with the police, let alone a black person, this will turn into injustice against women for some.

There is no possible justification for this one.

Even if you accept that "he could have been reaching for a gun!!11111", they had already stunned him before they shot him.

He was already incapacitated.

Also, I would be sitting in a jail cell right now, not "administrative leave", if I straight up murdered an unarmed stranded motorist by the side of the road like she did.

And I'm not one who's always up in arms about police shootings. I didn't care, to be honest, about the hoodrat who got shot while charging at a cop minutes after robbing a convenience store.

But she straight up murdered him. There's no way around it.

This is what is pissing me off the most about this situation.

Why are people not more angry about this? Why am I changing the channel to the major news outlets and this is not being discussed even though it happened yesterday? But when Colin Kaepernick "disrespected" an inanimate object, there was a media firestorm?

A football player doesn't stand for the National Anthem.

'Merica: "ERMAGHERD THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!11111"

A whole crowd of cops is so afraid of an unarmed stranded motorist by the side of the road that they shoot him, AFTER they already stunned him.

'Merica: "Meh."

I am so sick of this football player crap because there are far worse things going on and someone not standing for the anthem is NOT new.

Unfortunately all views of the man since he arrived at his car are blocked. It looked like one arm lowered at some point.

Why were the police covering him in the first place?

911 witness call appears to interpret his behavior upon abandoning his running car in the middle of the street with the doors open as - "I think he's smoking something." http://videos.videopress.com/O8XImDKa/tulsa-911-calls_dvd.mp4http://videos.videopress.com/O8XImDKa/tulsa-911-calls_dvd.mp4

This witness "testimony" will likely be used by the police to support any claims of perceived erratic/threatening or non-compliant behavior.

And the family better demand an independent toxicology report, cause the police are likely to claim he was acting this way cause he was on drugs.

He was already incapacitated.

Where are you seeing your evidence of that? Claims are both officers shot when they felt suposedly threatened at about the same time - one reacted with Tazzer the other (who needs to be prosecuted) with gun, but both about simultaneously.
Does a vid you saw show he was already down "incapacitated" when they then shot him?
The sound and blood on car seems to indicate he was still at the car window when the gun was fired, and not "incapacitated".
What are you going by seeing/hearing?
What I also want to see is if the window was actually open for him to reach into, or they are lying!
There is vid so you'd think nobody can make stuff up.

Edit: Apparently window was closed! Wow!
Evidence = Actual closed window with blood on it.

So the "reaching" claim will shift from car, to something in pants/belt or other dimension!

If multiple cops can't restrain a single unarmed man without shooting him... they aren't good enough to be cops. Simple as.

Too many of these cops want the easy way out of a situation. Any dick head can shoot someone. But cops arentry supposed to be just any dick head. They're supposed to be trained, elite, able to stay calm under duress.
